Be careful when using this company. I contacted Jack Hess in October 2013. He was unable to take my job but referred me to his son. He provided me with his son s phone number and told me his son does good work. I retained his son s services to address a leak in a bathtub. I was told that the leak arose due to lack of caulking around the fixtures in the bathtub. I approved for them to caulk and was charged $175 for that service. Five months later the leak returned. This time they went out and I received a phone call and was advised that the wall behind the bathtub was rotten and needed to be replaced. I was told that the condition had existed for some time and was getting worse. When asked why I was not advised of the rotten condition of the walls five months ago, they lied to me and told me that they had mentioned that when they were here last time. Obviously, had I been told that the wall behind my bathtub was rotten I would have fixed it. This time they caulked the bathtub before calling me to tell me the problem. I was offered the option to pay the $175 charge again or alternatively, they would remove all the caulk thereby leaving my bathtub in a worse condition then when they arrived. They did not offer a discount or any compensation for their failure to properly perform the work the first time. Do not use this company!! They will take your money without properly addressing the problem and then when the problem re-arises you will have to pay for it again and again.
