This restaurant has some of t he best service I've ever seen. My husband and I have eaten there several times now, so I know it wasn't just a fluke. Every waitress there is really nice and attentive. They have the greatest thing, corn fritters, which is served before your meal. They are free, but they're so good that's one of the main reasons we go. The menu has a pretty good selection of things to choose from, so everyone should find something they like. They also serve rock shrimp, which we haven't seen at many other places. I can?t tell you what happened to the early reviews of this place, but as a local I can tell you why it received a rating of 7.3, which is a gift for this place. I?ve been there three times over the last 10 years and I?ve always come away with the same impression. That is it?s an ordinary restaurant that serves ordinary food, with ordinary service. This is not just my opinion, but it?s also the opinion of many locals. Do NOT believe the TV commercials. It?s just another place that tries to be something it?s not?an exceptional seafood restaurant. I?m not saying they don?t, but I have never seen anyone eat a lobster in this place. None the less, you could do much worse someplace else. The food lacks any creativeness, but the quality is good. The service was what one would expect from a restaurant that was always empty. I can't believe this is rated 7.3 overall. By far the best seafood I had in the area during our four days there. We had the herb crusted grouper, so light and flaky and succulent, it just melted in your mouth. The salad bar that comes with the meal was mediocre, but who needs a salad bar when there is a basket of the most incredible corn fritters dusted with powder sugar in front of you just begging to be eaten. You can eat outside or in, both with views of the water. It was cloudy, so you couldn't really see a sunset, but I suspect it's a great view. I noticed on the menu, they have ""early bird"" specials for about 1/3 off before 6. Looks likes a lot of local retirees eating in the early-bird round, but mixed crowd later on.
