Where to begin... Our (the humans and the pup's) relationship began over a year ago when we needed someone reliable to watch Joey the Boston Terrier while we were out of town for a weekend. After google searching and coming up with less than stellar people, I finally found Justin and OH MY GOODNESS has he (and Kat) changed our lives!! Justin and Kat watched Joey in our home that first weekend and they bonded very fast and Justin started to walk Joey a few times a week. Joey has a few ""issues"" and she does not particularly enjoy the company of other dogs. Justin and Kat agreed to walk Joey solo until everyone was comfortable and then slowly introduce Joey to other dogs that Justin walks. We saw a huge transformation in our little pup! And what an amazing transformation it is... Joey began to walk with a few of her ""dog friends"" and slowly she began to trust other dogs. Never in my life would I have ever thought I would see the day that Joey would positively interact with other dogs and when this day came, I was a very proud momma! Joey has continued to make friends including Justin's own pup where Joey has spent the weekend with him! I can truly say that Justin has not only changed Joey's life but also ours as well. He is trustworthy (I'd trust him with my human kids... if only he babysat!) and he honestly a genuinely good person. Joey's most recent success has come from going to the dog park, unleashed, for the first time in her life. She could not have gotten to this point without Justin and Kat. We found Justin on citysearch by reading the wonderful reviews. That was 7 months ago and we couldn't be HAPPIER! Our dog absolutely loves Justin and Kat (but then again, our dog also loves cat poop!) We love Justin and Kat also! They walk our dog daily and are extremely reliable and professional. When we have gone out of town, they have watched our dog at their home and ours. We felt 100% comfortable that our baby was in the best hands and that no matter what came up while we were away, Justin and Kat would take care of it the best way possible. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend JP Canine to all of our friends. more

My yellow lab absolutely LOVES Justin and Kat! Every day, beginning about 2 hours before his scheduled walk, he runs to the door in anticipation anytime he hears the elevator stop on my floor. (Despite the many dry runs, his enthusiasm never wanes!) JP is a well-run, professional business. They have never missed a day and always provide advanced notice of holiday schedules. On several occasions I've needed to shift my dogs schedule or add a walk and they've always been accommodating. They take time to learn his training exercises so they can provide continuity and they always let me know if he seems off, needs his nails cut, etc. Beyond the professionalism with which JP Canine is run, what stands out to me are Justin and Kat's true love of dogs. I know they both love and enjoy my dog and treat him as they would their own. When he's been sick, they check in over the weekend to see how he's doing and even come to visit when he couldn't go out. I also board my dog with both Justin & Kat and I always leave town knowing he is having a blast and in the best of hands. I'm so grateful to them for the peace of mind this affords me! JP has been walking my lab, Lucy, since she was just a few months old, now 3. The time they spend is more than for walking, JP has helped train Lucy and showered her with love and play that all dogs so desperately need and want. Not to mention, the exercise she receives each day, which helps with her being more at ease at home, this was especially helpful when Lucy was a very jumpy puppy. JP is also extremely trustworthy, reliable and flexible. All employees are friendly and of the same caliber as JP. This business is run extremely professionally, notes about holidays, etc. We were impressed from the start. JP has made having a dog in NYC so much easier and fun! Your dog, becomes part of their family as well. Boarding is also a big plus! THE BEST IN NYC!! more

Justin and Kat are reliable friends. Marley, our 1-1/2 year old Labradoodle, cannot wait until they come by to take him out for his daily meet and greet at the dog run.\r Justin has provided us with valuble advise in bringing up our puppy. He can't do any wrong in our book! more

My poodle is in love -- with Justin. I like him, too, for his enthusiasm, on-time record, attention to reporting details about my pooch, his obvious empathy with canines. But the real proof is in the puddin': Gracie rushes to greet him, kiss him, wag, wag -- doesn't even look back if I happen to be home and waving from the door. Once she's with Justin, je n'existe plus! And, really, isn't that what you want? A knowledgeable dog person who your dog adores? I recommend his services to anyone. My dog was rescued and despite professional guidance and my own long history of training dogs, he does not warm up easily to new people and has a strong protective nature. Justin's consistent, firm and compassionate approach won my dog over, who is now a complete mush with Justin. Justin used the same care and consistency in introducing Katherine, and now they are all best buddies. I trust both of them implicitly with caring for my dog. more

Justin is a wonderful dog walker. Best experience I have had. He is very communicative, reliable and sweet with my dogs. I have recently moved out of Justin's ""walking"" territory and am devestated that I will no longer be able to use him. I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. Justin is a great dog walker. Kind, energetic, responsible, and observant, he never misses a walk, calls if he notices something not quite right about our dog, and gives her a great workout every day. He publishes an annual calendar of holidays so we can plan, and never substitutes another walker without discussing it with us first, and substitution almost never happens. Our dog, who is somewhat shy, really likes Justin and looks forward to her walks with him. I have seen him walking other dogs and noticed that he is always kind and gentle and gives the dogs he is walking great exercise. It is very reassuring to have Justin walking our dog. more

We have been clients of Justin for almost two years and couldn't be happier! We came to Justin looking for a dog walker for our very young puppy and we found so much more than that. Justin is dependable, flexible, knowledgeable, caring and truly passionate about all things canine. He takes his job very seriously and it shows. When our dog was a puppy, Justin was able to work with us so that she could have more frequent bathroom breaks in the day. As she grew older, he adjusted her schedule and began increasing the length and time of her walks. Justin helped train our dog on their daily walks and would provide us great tips and feedback. Our dog is a much better walker because of Justin. He has also cared for our dog when she has been sick, always calling us if she is having stomach troubles. He really cares about the health and happiness of every dog he walks. Our dog is particularly fond of the dog run, so Justin takes her there to play and fetch and her recall has really improved! Our dog gets so excited when Justin comes over to pick her up. As soon as she can hear his footsteps approaching the apartment, our dog bolts to the front door, wags her tail, and excitedly scratches at the front door in anticipation of seeing Justin and which ever doggy friend he has brought with him for their walk! When we get home from work at night our dog is always happy, fed, and well exercised. From time to time, we bump into a dog that our dog walks with. Our dog gets very excited and immediately wants to play with her friend. We know she must be having such a fun time on her walks with Justin and making lots of friends in the neighborhood! Justin never walks more than 3 dogs at a time, and many times he is just walking two. Our dog gets so much more attention, exercise, positive reinforcement and care with Justin than she would with the larger dog walking services who too many dogs at a time. Justin also boards our dog when we go away on weekends and can't bring her with us. She loves her sleepovers at Justin and we know that she is in good hands when we are away. Justin recently brought Katherine onto his staff. Our dog has quickly come to love Katherine too. She is reliable and cares for our dog very much. I have seen her walking our dog and can tell that she is also a ""natural"" with dogs! Justin and Katherine make a great team and I would recommend them to anyone. It is worth every penny to have such great people walking our dog. She gets unlimited amounts of love and attention and we know she is having a great day while we are at work. Justin does a tremendous job with my three incredibly tenacious pugs. I have tried for ages to find a walker that they follow - they love Justin! I usually come home to find them looking happy, healthy and ready to relax which is exactly what I need. Justin and Katherine are 2 of the best dog walkers I have ever had. They take care of your dog as if they were their own. The always leave me little notes to let me know how the day was, and are the first call or text if they notice something a bit off. They are also really great at getting back to you in a VERY timely manner. How many dog walkers do that?\r \r Once my dog got sick in my apartment and Kathrine cleaned up the mess, Justin called me with advice on how to care for her bad stomach AND they both followed up with calls and additional free walks so that she wouldn't have an accident again. It really made me appreciate how much they respect my place and love my dog.\r \r Plus, I can tell Maddie loves them because the mere mention of Justin's name makes her go bonkers! She looks for him everywhere!\r \r If you are in need of a dog walker, don't even interview anyone else. Hire these guys! I travel a lot for work and when my previous boarding place did something shady I was apprehensive to board my dog anywhere. A job is a job so I had no choice. I gave JP's a shot after meeting with several others. I felt comfortable with JP's b/c it was like home. My dog (Xena) is my child. Most people don't leave their children with a stranger, so this was a huge deal for me to take this risk again. I was correct with my instinct and am really happy with my choice. I recently had to move my dog back to the city from my parents house in long island. I now realized i needed a dog walker, JP Caninie services was perfect they did everything i needed and when i came home my dog looked great sometimes even tired from the long walks. My dog is my world. I bring him everywhere I go... Sadly sometimes work calls and I need to leave town. A friend told me about JP Canine Services and it was the best move i've ever made. JP's daily walks are affordable and he takes time to make sure the dogs are not walked in packs! (HUGE) He also boards the dogs in his own home and treats my dog like his own. I recently adopted a small dog Peppy. Peppy is incredibly cute and I love her so much but she was sooo bad. I could not train her for the life of me. She was going to the bathroom in the house and would not listen to anything I tried to teach her. I was pretty much at my wits end and (it breaks my heart to say this) I thought I was going to have to give her up. I decided to try JP Canine Services as a last ditch effort before I had to make a tough decision. I am elated I did!! They transformed my Peppy! With a few simple tips and some work they were able make my cute monster into an obedient pet!! They are simply the best and I highly recommend them to any pet owner!! more
