I don't usually respond to these but after reading Misses the Mark, felt that we needed to balance such an extreme response. While I can not comment on the exact hair cut/color that is described, I can say that I know without question that had Misses the Mark gone back to Jennifer (or anyone else in the salon) and asked that the cut be fixed, they would have done it without hesitation. If I have tried something new and the cut does not meet my expecations, not because it is a bad cut, but that it doesn't work for me I have always been supported with tweaking to make it work. The environment is great, all of the employees are professional and they are supportive of going to various stylists in the salon so you can always get in when you need to. I also find that they do a great job of helping me stay up on current styles and trends. It is a great place, give it a try......like they always say when you call.....they want to "make your day"! more

This salon takes care of you from the moment you walk in the door. You can tell that they genuinely care about you and your hair and take the time necessary to listen to what you want and meet your needs. The salon has their own line of products too, which are made special for the Houston area weather. I have used many of their products and I can't live without them! I highly recommend J Thompson Salon and their products. more

I love J Thompson Salons from top to bottom. I am there every 5 weeks to keep my trendy cut ""trendy"". It is an upscale ""downtown"" type salon that is convenient for me to get to on W. Lake Houston Parkway. From the moment I walk in and throughout the entire salon experience, Jennifer and her team are very attentive to me and my needs - asking if I need something to drink, giving me a cover for my clothes, listening to the details of what I want for my hair, etc. I have gotten great cuts throughout my 2+ years I have been going there and my color just keeps getting better. Currently, I have three colors going on and it only takes a few hours to get me in and out on my way. Hardly a week goes by that someone doesn't stop me to ask where I get my hair cut. Just this morning in the pediatrician's parking lot, a complete stranger stopped me to ask who does my hair. I have used several of the team members over the years depending on my schedule and who can get me in. From my experience, they are all great. Overall, I am more than thrilled with the great quality service I get and the total salon experience. Pros: location, atmosphere, quality of cut/color Cons: ------- more

Jennifer (the J Thomspon) did my hair and it was one of the worst cuts I've ever received. Had it corrected two days later. Color wasn't half bad but took and hour and a half where usually 20 minutes by anyone else. My friend had hers done by one of Jennifer's girls and while the cut was okay, it surely wasn't impressive or worth the cost. Simply put, if you wan't "old lady" or "Texas suburban housewife" hair, this is your salon. If you want someone that gets latest trends, it's not for you. more
