In May 2008, I took my engagement ring (of 37 years marriage) to be reset in a new setting/mounting. My ring?s original setting finally wore thin. My engagement diamond came back in the new mounting/setting WITHOUT my engagement ring?s original setting. J. B. Robinson confirmed that it had been scrapped! It was too late and irretrievably gone.\r

J. B. Robinson refunded the cost of the new setting, but a keepsake of our 37 years of marriage was gone forever. Whoever re-set my ring, obviously thought my engagement ring's original setting was not worth saving and took it upon themselves to scrap it. J. B. Robinson assured me (after the fact) that ""they are supposed to return a customer's jewelry/property. ""\r

It was too late in my case. A token of my husband's love and a keepsake of our 37 years of marriage was scapped.\r

J.B. Robinson Jewelers, Mentor, Ohio acted totally irresponsible and in an untrustworthy manner with highly personal pieces of jewelry. This incident defies sensitivity toward their customers. J. B. Robinson?s actions with respect (or lack thereof) to my engagement ring?s original setting were shabby. Throwing away my original setting into a scrape pile (to be melted down and reclaimed for profit) were callous and beyond comprehension. \r

As far as I am concerned, they are nothing more than ""another Mall Store."" \r
