I rarely take the time to post like this, but after my experience at J. Almeida I thought I would warn others. I made my appointment and was scheduled to have several things done with my hair. I will not mention the young stylists name as I do not want to take this too far, however she was blonde and certainly inexperienced. When I arrived I was barely greeted, then my nightmare began. The stylist was very unprepared, I had to wait 30 minutes before even getting started. Once she began I could tell she was just experimenting with my hair. Needless to say it turned out awful. I then asked to have the situation corrected and I was put with another young, brunette stylist. She also failed to correct the situation. After all that I had to pay full price. I will never go back there ever again. I'm sorry to write this but it is the truth. If someone had written sooner maybe I could of avoided the entire debacle. more

J Almeida Salon was recommended to me when I asked someone where I could go around here to get a trendy hairstyle. Last year I went for my first cut and I've been a client ever since. I've been privileged to end up in Rebecca's chair. She has an innate sensibility as to what works for me. I've had a few different shades in my hair and several variations of styles and somehow they all have turned out wonderfully. The price range is about mid-range for a hair salon -- it costs more than the mall, but less than the upscale places. more
