Izora is a fairly new (maybe two years? three years?) restaurant/nightclub near the Silver Spring, Md., border with DC that is plush, immaculate and artistically decorated. I saw Sarah Dash (formerly of the now-defunct LaBelle) here and what was so great about seeing her at Izora is that the place is intimate enough that I felt like I was hearing her in someone's (somewhat large) home. The food is VERY good....Caribbean fare done very, very well and the prices are between moderate to high (though I'd say they are more on the moderate side, considering what you get for your money). An adjoining parking lot has plenty of spaces. Service is pretty good. It wasn't as fast as it could have been when I came, but then again, I was with an extremely large group party.
