Izard, Stephen, Do - First Care

I have seen Dr. Young for nearly six years, and I have never had a doctor more willing to listen to my needs and concerns. He takes my intuition about my body seriously, and has always tried to make the cost of any illness as low as possible, especially when I was paying out of pocket. I guess the best you could say is, ""I trust him with my life."" more

I have been going to First Care since the 80's. Dr. Young is amazing!! He genuinely cares about his patients He is approachable and easy to talk to. His office staff is warm and inviting. More often than not I am in and out within an hour. He even has his staff follow up with a phone call a few days after the visit to ensure I am feeling better. There are many places I could go for routine health care but First Care will ALWAYS be my first choice!! more

Dr. Young is a good doctor, but not worth waiting 2 hours for. The wait in the lobby was 30 minutes, and then after talking with the nurse, I had to wait an additional hour and a half in a cold room. Most offices would have had someone come into your room and explain why the wait was so long, but after I complained no on seemed concerned. That will be my last office visit! more

My wife and i went to First Care and was seen by Dr. Young just to get a prescription for her daughter, which he refused per office policy. Earlier that day a telephone conversation with the nurse confirmed that my wife would be able to pick up the prescription with a hand written note. Upon arrival, they refused to give the prescription that they already said they would do, then when asked to see the doctor (Dr. Young) He was blunt and to the point. He insulted my wife, was very rude, humiliated her, HAD NO COMPASSION OR FEELINGS for her current situation or for the loss of he son and sister, as a matter of fact he had a grin on his face, said that she ""was not a special person and things like that happen to everyone"" and that everyone dies. As we were leaving, he said to his staff ""She is fired."" I would not recommend Stewart Young on Decker Blvd. to anyone. As a matter of fact, he will be reported to our HMO to be removed from their list. Cons: Rude, no compassion more

This is a great family practice! Dr Young is real nice, easy going with a good sense of humor . He spends more time than he should with each patient. The only problem I see is that the wait might be long. But, thats because he's taking so much time with his patients. Go and you will see.
