This restaurant was AMAZING!! The food is authentic, and the service is WONDERFUL. I talked to the owner for a while, and she told me that they had been there for 10 years! It is a family owned restaurant and her husband is a chef who studied french and japanese cuisine in tokyo. They have everything from the Americanized Japanese dishes-chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, to the real stuff-udon noodles, bento boxes, oyako-don dishes. The miso soup was the best I've had in a long time. The ambience is also beautiful-you would never believe you were in a strip mall! The sushi here is also amazing!! Try Funashin for a great Japanese restaurant!
Pros: ambience, inexpensive, great service
