I went to It's a Sinn due to personal recommendation. I was MORE than shocked I was quoted tripple/double what most shops have quoted me. High hourly rate and time estimate was way more than job should take. Job should take 6-10 hours (according to other shops) and I was quoted closer to 30 hours @ $80/hr!!! WOW!!!
I felt uncomfortable with the mechanic/owner from the get-go due to his brevity. I felt as if I was imposing on him to work on my bike...should have stopped the process right there and listened to my gut!
To get my initial quote, it took over two weeks of pounding the phone and leaving voice-mails to get an answer...only after hiding my number did I get through. Attempted to schedule to pick up bike and that was the same mess. Finally picked up a trailer and went for a surprise visit to get my bike back.
Supposedly the quality of the work is good, according to my reference. I suppose this could be a good little shop if they had any customer service and the quotes were a bit more on-base.
Be careful!
