Most relaxing and enjoyable environment I've seen in a spa in a very long time! The sounds and smells as well as the lighting are serene and soothing. The staff is professional, warm, and welcoming. They are definitely there to make you feel special and pampered. It is a destination that you will want to experience more than once! . What a wonderful time my friend and I had at the Island Medical Spa. We booked our facials as a treat, but were blown away by the high quality of customer service and their attention to details: the steam shower was calming in hues of green and smells of mint; the warm bathrobes were fluffy and soft; the foot soak & scrub was arranged on a cozy couch by an indoor waterfall; and the facial itself was relaxing to near coma status! I cannot say enough about this spa. I have been looking for a professional relaxing atmosphere and Island Medical Spa is the place to go. I was looking for a spot that also had a great product line and I found it! The minute we walked in we were happily greeted and spoiled with elixirs and foot baths. Our facials were absolutely wonderful and the staff was very nice. I will definately be going there again and will say that I will not use another spa for any dermatological or message needs! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The receptionist greeted me by name, although we have never met. I was offered, and accepted, a tasty and healthy beverage while filling out paperwork. The reception area was warm and welcoming as well. I was there to redeem a Father's Day Gift Certificate that included a foot scrub, 90 minute massage, steam bath, and a gentleman's facial. I had experienced and enjoyed massages in the past, but was a bit apprehensive on getting the other treatments or "treats" as they turned out to be. The waterfall room was very calming and the steambath and massage put me in a complete state of relaxation. The staff was very pleasant, friendly, and professional. The facility was clean, upscale, and sophisticated. I have constant back pain, and when I left Island Medical Spa I was completely pain free for the remainder of the day. I have not been that relaxed and stress free in a long time. I will be coming back here for more treatments, as well as buying gift certificates for loved ones. I enjoy Island Medical Spa so much. Have been having some lazer treatments by Jo Ellen and my face is feeling and looking 10 years younger. The atmosphere is the most relaxing place I can think of and when I had a massage the waterfall and cup of tea was exquisite. I recieve the oppurtunity to experience Island Medical Spa through originally a gift certificate. Talk about a Great Gift! I have been waiting for a spa that focuses on me and that is exactly what I got from a professional and knowlegable staff. I loved the ambiance of entering the spa with its newly remolded sophiticated style. The steam room was a great prep to what was to follow a complimentary drink and foot massage while listening to the relaxing waterfall in the backdrop. This was all before my facial even began. The massage experience is one of the best in the area. It begins with an excellent choice of beverages, a private changing room, foot scrub, an excellent massage, topped off with a steam shower. I prefer deep tissue massage and have been extremely pleased with the results. I have recommended this to other friends. Excellent! I was so delighted to walk in the new home of Isalnd Medical Spa. It is gorgeous and inviting. You walk into an atmosphere of tranquility. The staff is friendly and professional. I have had two massages by two different therapists lately. Both were excellent. You start with a delicious cup of tea before being led to the locker room where you are given a robe and sleepers. Then you sit in the soothing waterfall room while your feet are given a salt rub followed by lotion. Flowers are everywhere. Then the massage. Water is offered too. Afterwards you are treated to the Vichy shower with steam. I opted to wash my hair and use the hairdryer provided. I felt thoroughly relaxed and pampered. I highly recommend this spa!!! more

I can't tell you how completely satisfied and delighted I am to have found Island Medical Spa in Anacortes. For years I wanted to clear up the redness and small broken capillaries on my face, especially around my nose and on my chin, but didn't know what to do. While visiting my sister down in Houston TX, I was introduced to the photo facial procedure. It targets the various problems I was having. I loved the treatment but didn't know how I could follow it up after returning home to San Juan Island. Then my hair dresser told me about Island Medical Spa. I set up my consultation and have since had three treatments. The staff is so courteous and professional. Their follow-up calls after treatment shows they really care. The spa itself is beautiful and tranquil, but best of all I have enjoyed hearing the comments, "you look really good!" even though they can't quite figure out why. A board certified dermatologist in Mount Vernon suggested that I would benefit from some ?IPL? treatments, to reduce redness, age spots, and small broken veins on my face. But, he did not have a laser to do the procedure. So I was thrilled to learn there was such state of the art equipment in my own home town of Anacortes! I contacted Island Medical Spa, and I had a very professional, informative, friendly, and free consult with one of their aestheticians, Lacey. It has been several months since that first visit, and I am thrilled with everything I have learned about my skin, sun damage, the aging process and what I can do about it! I have now worked with Lacey and Kristy with procedures that have ranged from the IPL to a dermal filler. I enjoyed the professional atmosphere and the fact that there is NO over promising and under delivering on the results. Some procedures take longer to show results?but they do come! And then there are procedures like the dermal filler with a real ?wow? factor the same day. I also have chosen procedures with little to no ?down? time, and I am still getting the results I want, with little discomfort. My friends have started to notice ?something? about my fresh appearance. So, I have let them in on the secret. And two of them have already gone in for their free consult, and they are looking forward to their own great experience at Island Medical Spa. Nestled in the cozy island town of Anacortes, is the uniquely and beautifully designed Island Medical Spa. The ambiance was at it?s finest and the staff was ultra-professional and knowledgeable. While you can experience all the latest techniques in skin care and rejuvenation at the spa, my husband and I were in for some rest and relaxation. The experience began the second we steeped in the door. We were greeted by friendly staff and drawn in by the beautiful artwork and architecture. Once we had checked in, we were invited to choose a delicious, warm, elixir. The berry infused drink was delicious and was a nice change to traditional tea. We were escorted to our changing rooms and donned our comfortable spa robes and slippers. We then moved into the candle-lit, waterfall room for a pre-massage, foot soak, and scrub. This was an unexpected but truly amazing touch, it really set the relaxing tone for the rest of our stay. Our therapist escorted us to a large comfortable room for Swedish massages. For this treatment, we had our choice of aromatic and deeply healing oil infused with therapeutic flowers and herbs. For instance, the scent that I chose called ?revitalization? ? had a blend of citrus and chamomile. After the full body massage, we were escorted back to our respective changing areas and treated to a state of the art steam shower with a soothing rain showerhead, accompanied with rosemary and mint body/hair products. Island Medical Spa?s services, staff, architecture, and attention to detail were first-class. We look forward to our next visit and can?t wait to experience the other fabulous and relaxing services, like the Vichy shower, mud wraps, and facials.
