Worst place to get a massage 9/14/2009

EVERYONE DO NOT GO HERE!!!! FOR ANY MASSAGE SERVICE. I decided to get a massage after really being sick from working long hours. I had tension on my neck. By checking out the place earlier, I thought it was a decent place to get a massage from what's looking outside. Their price wasn't cheap so I thought it had to be good.. BUT NO NO NO NO!! it was the worst massage ever in my life. Basically I was lying down so frustrated - I wanted to just leave that place. I never felt that much angry by receiving massage from anyone. It was a joke. I kept explaining that I needed a massage on my back especially the neck area but he said it would only help by pressing the hip area. He never touched my neck. He just did stupid things pressing around my hips (felt really aweful). it was really weired what he was doing. He didn't even put oil and didn't do anything to release my knots - i mean NOTHING!!! I hate it even thinking about it. It was so unpleasant i can't even describe it. NEVER GO HERE. My friend got a massage from Boston place paying only $60 for 45 min and he said it was the greatest massage ever.. It was waste of my $85. actually i feel like calling them to return my money back. Really!!! Oh, never listen to anyone who works there- they are such a lier. Pros: nothing Cons: please read my review more

Unprofessional with poor follow through 4/29/2008

I chose Isis for their convenient location. I went in for a colon therapy. The treatment went wrong and I was embarrassed to be covered in my own feces during my treatment. After being cleaned up and being referred to as ""honey"" and ""babe"" by my practitioner. I went home feeling a little off. I have been in sever pain two and a half days. I called and got a ""that stinks"" from the receptionist and a promise that I would get a call back, which never came. My doctor is concerned and I have an appointment in an hour! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ISIS!! Pros: location is walking distance from my house Cons: the entire experience more

No other spa like it! 1/28/2008

I was so excited when I read the previous review because it sounded just like the amazing experience I had! I too started out with a massage; my therapists name was Sonja and she was off the charts amazing. Talk about the real deal, she was actually born and raised in Sweden. I never would have thought that such a petite young woman would have such powerful hands. I walked out of there feeling both relaxed and renewed. It?s kinda hard to put into words but she just seemed to know exactly how to work out my areas of tension (a lot) without causing me to squirm or feel anything other than relief. As I was leaving I decided to grab some literature on the spas other offerings and while I had kept it quite confidential I had been wanting to try colon hydrotherapy since I first heard about its cleansing and renewing potential almost 5 years ago. I made an appointment for the following week. My therapists name was Kate, and we sat and talked together for about a half an hour before the session started. It was amazing how calming she was as I shared with her my health goals and how clear and informative she was explaining the procedure. Kate was so compassionate and down to earth; she had absolutely no airs about her. Too often I find that these healthy holistic types can be overly righteous and judgmental. That was def. Not the case with Kate, she completely understood my common struggles with staying healthy and was very excited about my interest in deepening my self-awareness. By the time we were ready to start I was a little bit nervous but I felt like I was walking through this with a friend I had known for years. I can?t say enough about just how great and easy the whole thing was, never what I would have expected. I?m certain that I will do it again, I mean I get my teeth cleaned twice a year why not my colon? It made me feel so great! It sounds like you can?t go wrong with any of the amazing therapists At Isis. I def. recommend Kate and Sonja. Pros: Staff, Ambience, Service, Parking more

Best massages, best colonics, beautiful place 1/12/2008

I went to ISIS and got a massage from Adina and a colonic from Meghan and I was so impressed by the services there. The massage was deep tissues and Adina can really get deep into my tired muscles and make me feel better. She gave me stretches to do at home and good advice for sleeping and posture. I have been back a couple of times and each time she is amazing. While I was there, I read about colonics and thought that I would try one because I had always been curious. Meghan had so much knowledge about the digestive system and my session went really well. I thought that it would be awkward but Meghan made me feel so comfortable and is really funny, she made me want to come back. The fact that my stomach was flatter after the session also helped too. I definitely recommend ISIS. Pros: ambience, parking Cons: you can't always get an appt same day, call a day in advance more
