Editorial review from Citysearch 1/24/2013

It's a low key place, almost like a dive bar. Their menu is surprisingly diverse; my friend and I are working on getting through all of the sandwiches. They also have a great beer selection, poker nights, and amazing fried pickles. If you're looking for a casual, low key place, effortless place, this is perfect for you. The menu has plenty of food to please almost anyone and their prices are reasonable. They have a great happy hour as well. Bar does close around midnight, so keep that in mind if you are going for drinks. more

Awkward night 7/17/2009

Great food, 30 something beer choices. Enjoy seeing the same faces from wait staff and patrons each time. Have become close with two in particular girls on wait staff, my wife and I are very pleased to see them. But..... Last time we were there saw one of the waitresses yelling at another girl on the patio. (it appeared they were off work) yet was very un professional and made for a bad scene, have never thought highly of the other girl, and am dissapointed to say we may ask for someone else if she was to wait on us. But other than that crazy niht we love the place!!! more

OK generic place to catch a game and a beer with friends when you have that grease-pit craving. Nothing wrong with that... happens to me every 30 to 90 days.\r Not really an Irish place, despite the fair to ok fish-n-chips & shepards pie on the menu. Generally get an order of onion rings to munch on during the game, or the Cod.\r \r But when there's a band, I've learned to turn around and go somewhere else. Always been loud cover bands that are two steps above garage level. If you're looking for Irish, look elsewhere... you might get is a mediore U-2 tune. Seems to cator to the twenty something singles, and those who drink enough to think they are. Pros: Cubs, beer, and onion rings... Cons: generally bad loud music. Very generic place more

Horrible Management 2/19/2009

I went there with high expectations of great food and cold beer. I soon found out that the lack of customer service trickles down from the top. When I met with the manager to solve a minor problem with the waitress and the bill, he was rude and had to hold back his anger. He used profanity in regards to me and my dinner guest to the bartender not realizing I could hear him. I will never step foot in that establishment again; it goes to show you there are no bad teams, only bad leaders. Its a shame that a ten dollar error could cost a establishment customers and much more potential money. Do not waste time with this restaurant in Frisco. Pros: cold beer, tv's Cons: horrible management, incompetent staff, rude and apparently hate making money more

my addiction 9/18/2008

this is a great place to come any day of the week. you could consider it frisco's version of cheers. if you come on any kind a regular basis, the staff knows who you are. i have never felt rushed here. some of my favorite dishes are the chicken carbonara (i know, italian at an irish restaurant, but it's GOOD!), the philly steak hoagie (hold the peppers since i am a wimp), and the fish and chips. the first time i had the irishman's club, i was surprised to find a hard boiled egg on it, but it works. the rover's nuts are definetly unique, but i wasn't crazy about them. the hot wings are HOT, so be prepared. i started going to the rover before bennigan's closed, and the rover wins hands down. there really was no competition. more

Great Lunch Spot, Casual & Friendly Environment 6/26/2008

This Irish restaurant/bar is fantastic! This was my first visit after a morning business meeting in the area here close to the Tollway and right by the Stonebriar Mall. The staff here is so friendly and I felt right at home. My Irishman's Club was superb - I loved the hard boiled egg in this sandwich! TV's every where which I love and their beer selection looks huge - which I didn't try as this was during the work day! So I'll have to return to check out the the crowd and scene in the evenings. I hear they have lots of regulars from across the pond come in to check out their favorite soccer teams all the time. You definitely don't have to be Irish or English to feel welcome here! Pros: Ambience and Friendly Service more
