I moved in and the problems started. The closet door fell off twice even after being repaired. The bathroom light cover which was a piece of plastic barely pinned down, fell off in the first week I moved in and eventually because I did not reported to them I was charged $90.00. Twice 2 men (I am a girl) attempted to come in; they unlocked my door and tried to forcefully come in...Luckily I had a door block in place. When I finally got the courage to scream and then open the door I saw 2 men leaving and when I asked them why were they forcing my door they turned around and left. Very scared I called the main office and I was told ""were the company’s handymen"". These handymen never gave me any notice before attempting to enter my apartment. My mail box lock was broken twice. My mail dropped by UPS was stolen several times. After less than 3 months I decided to move out and I did. I placed the apartment on Craig’s list without any success. When finally my contract expired they refused to return me the entire deposit. They charged me $ 145 for 3 meters of rug that “had to be shampooed” and $90 for the plastic light fixture that fell off in the first week of moving in. Besides, they made up an excuse saying that I left my keys in the apartment and the apartment was messy. The truth is that I dropped the keys myself and also cleaned the apartment in which I barely lived few weeks since this was not my main apartment. The office personnel are adolescents and some of them can be very unprofessional/rude. When I requested to speak with their manager or superior they told me there is nobody else to speak with since they are the managers. This has been by awful experience with Intertown Realty. Never again I will rent from them. more

I'm making it my life's mission to tell everyone what scumbags these people are. I've never met more ignorant, uneducated people in my entire life. They ripped me off, took over 25% of my security deposit for fictitious fees, and towed my car from my the space that I paid for, and they even made me pay to get it back. These people are complete crooks who do nothing but steal from their tenants. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY more

Stay as far away from this company and Justin Miller as possible. They're all trained to lie to get you to sign a contract. They keep more of your rent as a fee and then come up with lies to keep your money. They have their thug lawyer send threatening letters to make you feel powerless. If you think you're getting your deposit back -- think again. Run away from Intertown Realty. If someone named Justin calls you, hang up. This kid gives salespeople a bad name. more

I've been renting apartments for many years and have ALWAYS paid on time and been a good tenant. These people will charge you for anything and everything when you move out. I left that apartment in such better shape than I got it and I still was charged my entire security deposit to clean up ""random"" things. Avoid intertown at all costs, unless you're ok with giving them your entire deposit. Also they are extremely rude over the phone if you have an issue with your apartment. more

Yes, they will find all kinds of reasons to steal your security deposit even you take 3 days to clean room. By the way, their rooms are roach nest. more

Joe Random is correct!\r \r They will steal your money and they need to be stopped!\r \r My girlfriend lived there for quite some time and always complied and kept her place quite clean. When she made the choice to purchase her own home she wrote to Intertown Reality months in advance. Myself with a few other friends spent days clean, even though i mentioned to my girl several times the place looks better now then it did when she moved in. As Mr. Random stated they are (Extremely Sneaky Crooks) and will do anything to keep your deposit or send you a bill months after for damages that never exsisted! We look forward to pursuing legal again against them and would appreciate if anyone other there has any information on this company or experienced the same scam Mr. Random mentioned and ourself. Do your homework before signing a lease. They will make up damages and steal your security deposit! They assume most people won't take the time and energy to take them to court, but they have several lawsuits against them, for charging exhorbitant fees for damages that they made up. They are completely sleazy crooks, and won't fix anything if you ask them to. They are extremely sneaky crooks and will keep doing it if they think they can get away with it. more
