I don't have words to describe how awesome the service was. But I will genuinely try.
So, it was around 7:45 pm on 11/19/14 (the first day of major snow fall in metro Detroit). I had a flat tire. I took the tire to Costco and they said that they could not repair it because the rim was bent. So, they said go to a tire shop. They gave me your business card. While driving home, I thought let's call this place. To my surprise, Bill answered and he said that I could drop the tire by. So, I drove to this place and I was there by around 8 pm. Bill saw the tire and said that it will be ready the next day by 10 a.m or so. I said OK; I will pick it up later in the evening on 11/20/14. He said that the business closes at 6 pm. Somehow or the other, during our conversation, it came out that I work downriver and Bill said that be extremely cautious while driving with the spare tire, but immediately, an inner voice within him said that NO, let's do it tonite. He politely asked me do I have an hour? I was pleasantly surprised and I said yes, I have an hour.
I thought that first of all, the shop closes at 6pm and now we are somewhere around 8:10 pm and Bill is saying that it will be ready within 1 hour. And yes, he called me at 8:48 pm and said that the tire is ready and it was. I was home by 9:30 pm.
If I have to analyze this situation, all I can say, is that HUMANITY is still alive. Real heroes are not only on the big screens, or major sports events but they are present amongst our neighborhood Bill or Joe or any name. To serve selflessly is the object of human life and I truly got the feeling that Interstate Auto Care is a representation of that. Just from this selfless service, I feel very confident that this place will NOT overcharge or scam a customer for some instant unnecessary profit.
I truly feel that this place can be a role model for businesses in general.
Best wishes.
