In-Style Events was a great decision. I needed someone to help me plan a wedding in Europe initially. A few months before the wedding, I found out it would not be feasible to have my wedding in Europe. No worries, Shellie and her team reassured me we could still plan the wedding in a timely manner. Shellie and I were separated by time zones (I was in Florida), but were able to communicate always. She worked with me consistently in supporting my vision, and finding the perfect vendors for my wedding. The wedding was wonderful! I receive so many compliments of how smooth the proceedings went. Several people complimented me on how calm and relaxed I was. I attribute that to In-Style Events. My wedding day is a day I will never forget. Thank you again. more

My husband and I are from Chandler Arizona. When we had got engaged July 19th 2012 on a trip to Carlsbad California we new that we would like to get married in California but were scared not living there or having the time to go back and forth. We had taken a trip to California in search of places to get married one was Scripps Seaside Forum and another was at the Del Mar LAuberge we fell in love with a cover ceremony set up with a chandler. I knew we could not meet our budget by planning there but really wanted to work with a wedding planner. We were referred to Shellie at In style Events and after making my first phone call to Shellie I knew that she was who we were going to work with. We ended up booking Scripps Seaside forum for our wedding May 31st 2013. Shellie was wonderful in emailing me back an forth throughout our planning sharing picture ideas and working well with my big actively involved family. Shellie is also a florist and had worked very hard on fabulous bouquets with Peonies and lily's very traditional but so lush and beautiful. The picture we had originally seen at another venue Shellie recreated for us with a dark wood chuppah and chandelier for our ceremony. We had a very detailed unique wedding that Shellie worked with me, my mom, and mother in-law all the way through bring in beautiful linens for us to use with our colors. Our wedding was even better then imagined! I would recommend Shellie for out of town brides that are needing help getting connections to great companies. more

Let it be known that Shellie Ferrer from InStyle Event Planning is my hero. Like a fairy godmother, Shellie calmly took the reins from my inexperienced planning hands and created a gorgeous wedding beyond my expectations in just five months. She saved me & my husband money, time and most importantly, our sanity! Within minutes of our phone consultation, Shellie was confident that a wedding for 150 guests could be done on our small budget. She emailed me a breakdown of vendors and prices a couple days later, and that is when I realized that I had made the right decision contacting her. I would have NEVER gotten the low prices she quoted me no matter how much I researched on my own, simply because she gets incredible deals with vendors she does repeat business with. All the vendors were professional, experienced, and the quality of services were definitely worth more than what we paid. SCORE!!! Shellie was so on top of the wedding checklist, that we got a lot accomplished in the first month of signing with InStyle Event Planning. She takes on the task of following up with vendors if we have any questions, and sent me friendly email or text reminders if something was needed to be done that month (send invites, alter dress, venue visit, etc). She is always so accessible. The month leading up to the wedding, my husband & I often asked each other if we needed to do anything, which was a great feeling not to worry! Being able to spend time with my family the day before the wedding, and simply relaxing the day-of, knowing and trusting everything is taken care of by her, it was truly priceless. I arrived to a venue that was so beautifully decorated, it was like a page from a wedding magazine. Her assistant Lacey was so calm & efficient in making sure the time line was followed, and was always nearby in case we had questions. Shellie's staff was extremely attentive and professional also, that some personally catered to my husband & I to ensure we did not have to get up for food or drinks. I can confidently say that everything we requested was honored that evening! I cannot recommend Shellie Ferrer from InStyle Event Planning enough. It was the best decision I made in the wedding planning, second to saying "Yes" to my husband of course. Family and friends would comment that I was the calmest bride they've known, and I always say that it was because of Shellie. Let's just say I was a complete wreck when it came to the details of our wedding. I was a state away, and had not the slightest clue on where to begin. When I called InStyle Event Planning, I talked to Shellie, and held my every step of the way. With short notice and a not so big budget, Shellie assured me that she and her staff could pull off the vision that we saw. On our wedding day,Shellie was very calm and attentive while I was freaking out inside. By the time I finally arrived at the wedding site, I was put to ease. With the beach being a public place, InStyle Event Planning designed it as if we were on a private island.the setup was extremly beautiful with finishing touches of perfection. The bouquet was breathtaking the food was delicious! I am extremly happy that I chose InStyle Event Planning to plan one of the most memorable days of my life! My husband and I were wed on September 21st of 2012 in La Jolla California and it will be a day we never forget. When Ruben and I first started to discuss how we wanted to put together an unforgettable wedding, immediately we decided on a destination wedding, residing in El Paso TX, we did not have many options on venues for a beautiful wedding. We chose La Jolla California for many reasons, the beautiful scenery, the people always being so nice and most of all, it was were we first vacationed together as a couple. Right away I become over whelmed. Where should we have our wedding? Where do I buy flowers? How will I know what everything will look like from so far away? Where do I go to buy certain items we need for the wedding? The list goes on and on...I knew right away I needed a wedding planner. We searched the Internet for companies in the area but were surprised to find that InSyle was the ONLY coordinating company that had a BBB account, not only an account but an A+ rating, no questions asked, we called Shellie and I IMMEDIATELY felt at ease and the weight of the wedding world had come off my shoulders. The very fist time I talked to Shellie she made me feel like she had dropped EVERYTHING she was doing to cater to me and make sure I was at ease that the wedding planning was already taken care of. We hired InStyle in January, 8 months before our wedding and the entire time we planned our wedding with Shellie it was such a pleasant experience. She truly went out of her way to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting, what the venue was like, what it looked like and every single detail of the entire day. The biggest part that helped us was that Shellie already knew a ton of vendors and she know which one fit our needs and budget. She eliminated the need to interview and research every single vendor that is needed for a wedding, which I imagine could take months to do! The day of the wedding InStyle went into overtime. Lacy, the unforgettable mommy to be, was in and out of my room all day delivering items, checking on me, making sure I was calm and always had something nice to say every time I opened the door the let her in. Shellie, as busy as she was transforming the La Valencia Ballroom to a magical dream come true wedding site, called me constantly just to say "Hi" or "Is everything okay?" That alone made me feel like I was the ONLY bride she had and she truly and honestly cared for me and my husband on our wedding day. When I first walked into the venue, (trying to hide from my soon to be hubby) I cried. It looked like something out of a magazine and I could not believe it had all been done for us, little ole us from El Paso, it was a moment I will never forget. The flowers were so amazingly beautiful I thought they were artificial, but were not. The linens hung ever so gracefully, the diamonds and sparkles shined like the lights were focused on just that, the center pieces were something I had only seen on TV (David Tutera type stuff!) Shellie and I had previously discussed a adding a detail that was later not needed but she used the material to make private cabanas instead which added such an intimate touch. Any other wedding planner I am sure would have just chalked that up as a loss and just said they didn't need the material anymore, even already paid for. The ceremony site was another dream come true. When I walked down the aisle on a custom made beautiful aisle runner along side color coordinating orchids in beautifully placed glass vases I still couldn't believe my eyes. When I finally reached my husband underneath the custom made chuppah with beautifully flowing drapery and a chandelier (still in amazement) it finally hit me that Shellie was the BEST and none of these dreamed visions would have came true with out her. Through out the wedding I noticed that EVERY SINGLE one of the vendors Shellie hired were absolutly amazing and did everything I had asked Shellie...how she kept track of all that, I still dont know! Every single detail of our wedding was beautiful and our guests are still calling just to tell us how beautiful everything was. I would not go back and change any detail of the most important day of our life...InStyle did everything over and beyond what I could have ever imagined a wedding to be. I honestly cant say enough great things about InStyle Event Planning. With only 3 months to plan a wedding, I knew an event planner was a necessity. InStyle was the first event planner I called and I didnt even feel the need search for more after speaking with Shellie. All of my worries were put at ease, from that very first call. Shellie had incredible communication and a way of making me feel like I was the only bride that she was attending to. We didnt have to worry about anything from researching vendors to linen ideas, Shellie handled it all. The BEST money my husband and I spent on our wedding was on a wedding planner. Worth every single penny! At our first meeting with In Style Event Planning I knew we had to hire them. It was essential that we hired someone to help plan and make recommendations since we lived in Orange County and our wedding was in San Diego. In Style was so personal and so genuine but always maintained that professional balance. They asked questions about us and wanted to get a good feel for what we were looking for. I loved their energy and how passionate they were about our wedding. I cannot stress enough how much better off we were in the long run because we hired In Style for full coordination for the entire year before our wedding and it ended up saving us so much money!! Shellie Ferrer was our wedding planner and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She was efficient, organized, helpful, kind, detail-oriented, has impeccable taste, and she was not phased but the incessant questions I asked! Shellie handled the details and helped keep everything on track. In particular she helped us save so much money on my wedding dress, transportation, our photo booth, photographer, room blocks, flowers, DJ, Band, linens, etc.....you name it and she negotiated it no matter what and made it work! The money she was able to save us was more than worth her personal fee. When I arrived in San Diego for our wedding weekend Shellie had everything organized and was available to handle all the last minute details. I was able to let go of the wedding-related stress and enjoy my weekend with my family and friends. Everyone commented and how seamless the ceremony and reception were and how everything just flowed. Well, that was all thanks to Shellie and the In Style staff. It was such a joy working with Shellie. We just came off of the high from our incredible wedding week that would have been nothing without all of the help and guidance and detailed planning and hard work that Shellie of Instyle Event Planning put into it. I worked with her for about a year and half and she not only put up with all my crazy ideas but made them into reality even better than the dream created in my own mind! She was always available and ready to jump in to help at any moment even when I would send her emails at 3:00 in the morning the weeks leading to the wedding. She kept us on track and made sure we knew what we needed to take care of and when to get it done by. She offered great ideas and innovative ways of doing things. I would have to say the greatest thing that we received from Shellie that you won't get anywhere else is how much money she saved us. She provided us with our charger plates, linens, vases, baskets, card boxes, emergency kit, frames, decorations for the ceremony and much more. The vendors she recommended always offered better rates and had better services then anything I found on my own. She actually paid for herself before we even hired her with the money she saved us! We had gotten a couple quotes on our venue and she called about a half an hour after we inquired about her services and had already talked to the Hard Rock and got our venue quote down by almost the same amount as her fee, and even that was so incredibly reasonable. I would have paid ten fold for the peace of mind she gave us. She was there to calm me down when I had my little freak out moments and there were issues that were caused by other vendors that happened at the wedding that we didn't even know about because she took it upon herself to make executive decisions and everything went off without a hitch. She and her company come highly recommended. It was not only us that recognized her talent for wedding coordinating and planning, but we received multiple comments from guests that evening that noticed how hard, quietly and efficiently she was working. Where do I begin???....... I had absolutely NO plans to hire a wedding coordinator. What was I thinking?? From the very first phone call with Shellie, she had me hooked!! I could not have pulled off the most beautiful and amazing wedding for my only daughter without her. Shellie returned every email and phone call within a reasonable time. Shellie helped me tremendously with major aspects of the wedding, she definitely has an eye to detail and her EXCELLENT and strong interpersonal skills made the day of my daughter's wedding, a day for me to just sit back and enjoy. Shellie and her assistant Lacy oversaw EVERY detail and ensured that everything went smoothly and it most certainly did!. Shellie even made sure that my grandson had milk at the wedding! Who does that....?! Shellie and Lacy are an excellent team and were such a pleasure to have at the wedding, while I was totally enjoying my daughter's wedding, they quietly worked behind the scenes and help me give my daughter, her perfect wedding!. InStyle Event Planning is not limited to weddings, but also high school proms! As chair of Prom Committee we have dedicated 4 years to planning the perfect high school prom and Shellie Ferrer made it possible to have a Prom better than we could have ever dreamed of. Our dream truly came true and it was a magical night that 650 high schoolers will cherish for the rest of their lives. First off, the professionalism in this business is unlike any companies we have seen before. The connections amongst different vendors and her communication skills are fantastic. We were always in the loop with Shellie and the staff at the US Grant (our venue.) By keeping constant communication with the head of events at the Grant, we knew what to expect day of and no question was left unanswered. Also, every meeting we had with her was accompanied with a warm smile and friendly attitude. Shellie's creative vision is truly a gift. Our theme was Arabian Nights and all her suggestions came from a professional viewpoint and really brought out the theme while staying elegant. We had custom cabanas with beautiful fabric draping customized specifically for our venue. She even went all the way to Los Angeles to snag us a deal on the highest quality fabric. This action alone displays Shellie's willingness to help beyond what is expected. Furthermore, Shellie provides variety. The wide assortment of beautiful colors of fabrics and the beautiful satin chair covers she gave us to choose from could not be found in any other magazine. We got an amazing deal because of her connection with the company. Also, our centerpieces got rave reviews throughout the night as we had orchids in a vase with water, illuminated by a floating candle as well as arabic lanterns. These little things are truly appreciated. I give InStyle Event Planning my highest recommendation for weddings, parties, or any event that you truly want to make memorable. more

"The Best Wedding Ever!!!!! - This is the statement that I happily continue to hear from many friends and family members about our 125 person wedding in early December. This statement would not be possible without the wand-waving, magic workers at InStyle Event Planning! Less than 2 months before our wedding, I realized that I was up a creek without a paddle and that I would need someone who has experience in planning weddings to carry me over the finish line. In a panic, I searched the internet and stumbled across InStyle and decided to give them a call. Within a few hours, Shellie was on the phone with me: listening to the obvious panic in my voice, calmly providing suggestions and continuing to tell me, Dont worry about it, we will make everything beautiful. Whew! That was a load off my back when I heard Shellie utter that statement alone!! In addition to carrying my wedding over the finish line, Shellie also played part therapist on the other end of the phone - listening to me drone on about all the crazy drama that always unfolds when planning a wedding, taking my calls at odds hours, even talking to me when she went on vacation for her anniversary! Aside from her wonderful "bedside manner", Shellie also has the most infectious laugh when she laughed, it made me laugh and the rapport that we developed so quickly made me relax about the wedding planning for the first time in 10 months! (word of advice: don't wait this long to call InStyle! Do it right away, after you get engaged!) After our initial consultation on the phone, Shellie accepted the challenge of handling our wedding day-of activities. Some, but not all, of these tasks included coordinating ALL the vendors for the day-of, coordinating ALL bridesmaids and groomsmen (we had 20 people in wedding party!), handling ALL reception room decorations and executing an enormous lighting project that was involved in our outdoor, pergola covered ceremony space. My vision for the entire ceremony and reception completely came to life through Shellies skill and perseverance. She went above and beyond the call of duty by laying down the law when I had an issue with any vendor. Bottom line, she was the perfect coach for my wedding day and she executed all the right plays at the right time! I know I could not have had a better wedding and I will be forever thankful that InStyle gave me my dream day!!! more

As a busy professional, I knew we were going to need help coordinating our wedding. Our dream was to have a backyard wedding but I knew that would be a lot of work so I looked into hiring a wedding coordinator. I can say without a doubt that hiring Shellie Ferrer of InStyle Event Planning was the best choice we made in our wedding planning. During my initial consultation with Shellie, she was so professional and friendly and I felt very comfortable with her. She really listened to my ideas and talked about how we could make our dream happen within our budget. With Shellies great vendor connections, experience, and innovative and creative ideas we were able to have our dream wedding within our budget. During the months prior she kept us track and was there to offer advice. Then when we had a wedding nightmare and our venue cancelled on us three weeks before the wedding, Shellie was immediately on top of it making calls all over town and keeping us sane. The very next day she had found a new venue very similar to the one we had originally booked. We also booked InStyle for our catering. Shellies culinary expertise shined and the food was amazing. The displays were beautiful and we received rave reviews from our guests. We could not have had such a successful wedding without her. Ever since the beginning, Shellie was a pleasure to work with. I never thought to hire a day-of wedding coordinator but that was probably the best money I spent during the whole wedding process. She worked with my budget and was in contact with me from the day I hired her until after I was already married. My wedding day was chaotic, but who's isn't? Well for some reason, I thought mine was out of the ordinary. Lacey (coordinator) was a pleasure. I was such a bridezilla and she just did whatever she could to make me feel at ease. I had an issue with a venue and after I told Lacey how upset I was,I asked her to talk to the head person at the venue and she got me an extra hour of open bar FOR FREE :) That definitely made up for what they did. I will definitely be recommending InStyle to my friends and family. Such a pleasure to work with, I am so happy I chose them to be a part of my special day. more

I interviewed 3 florists before selecting Shellie and it was not a hard decision. She was extremely accommodating, she did not try to up-sell me to buy more flowers or decor that went above and beyond my budget, responded quickly to all my emails and phone calls (and I emailed quite a bit!). Overall she was very reliable and a pleasure to work with. All my flowers were to my expectation and satisfaction. more

Shellie was my wedding planner this past weekend. Not only was she friendly, professional and very creative but she really understood the vision we imagined and helped us create the wedding we dreamed of. As parents of the bride, we wanted to write you a letter of thanks for making Amanda and Omar's wedding day a special one that they will always remember. From the time we did our tasting more than a year in advance, we were excited about choosing Shellie of InStyle Event Planning to handle our catering. She ended up handling so much more! Her package included the specialty linens, charges, table settings and glass ware that other vendors charged extra for. We also had Shellie's team provide all of our floral arrangements, including the bouquets, which were so beautiful! Shellie also offered us the opportunity to have lounge furniture, which her staff discretely moved from the outdoor cocktail reception to inside for dinner and dancing. So many of the wedding guests have told us what a wonderful time they had! A member of Shellie's staff even made a point to thank the bride and groom, saying everyone treated them so nicely, and what a pleasure it was. With one small glitch, that only we were aware of, the whole event was just amazing! more

Jeanine was blessed with an incredible wedding planner and as well as friend to completely take her wedding OVER THE TOP amazing.
