About 4 years ago I was in the midst of a career change. After deciding massage would be a very rewarding career and fun too, my mother and I started looking at schools. We went to interview at Institute of Massage Therapies and an instant connection was made! The fact that one of the owners tought class and sat down with us was impressive, and what she said she tought was right up the alley I wanted to go. I wanted to lean more towards the medical end of massage and that is exactly how they toucht there. Honestly I wasnt to excited about starting this massage course, I figured it would be easy, learn a few muscles and bones and be done with it.....right? I was soo wrong, and after just 1 month I just knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! It is a base of everything else I am doing to accomplish my goals, and I believe that I am a great therapist because I had great training Other therapists with more years of experience under their belt come running to me to ask me questions about clients and trust what I say, because I'm right, I know my stuff, and I understand the reason for the answer. So if they question me, I can give the the full explanation and those other therapists agree.
Pros: Excellent Training, Very knowledgeable of what they teach, and they continue to answer questions after you graduate.
Cons: I honestly can't think of any, at least at the moment, but it was 4 years ago.
