Dear Mold Aid I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your quick action in helping us remediate our recent mold problem at our rental property. Once contacted, you immediately sent one of your technicians to analyze the problem and made recommendations to address the issues. When we had additional concerns about the remediation, you came and educated us on the technical aspects of our particular situation. You met with our tenant and put her at ease with your explanation of what the clean up process entailed. Your technicians were timely, courteous and professional. We were impressed that you, as the business owner, made several personal appearances to ensure the work was being done to the state standards, and above. I would like to commend you and your staff for a job well done. We highly recommend your company to anyone needing assistance with a mold problem, and would not hesitate to use your services again if the need arises. Regards, Dennis more

Mold Aid Well Certified Was Fantastic 3/31/2012

Mold Aid provided testing services after a pipe broke and flooded my home. We called them because the insurance company was stalling and was ignoring the mold issue. Mold Aid used thermal cameras, moisture meters and took swab and air samples and provided a thorough inspection. Mr. Cardwell, one of Mold Aid's Certified Indoor Environmentalists was great. He called us when the lab results returned and discussed the results. They found the home had Stachbotrys which is categorized as a potentially toxigenic mold. I had been having reparatory issues so this find made a lot of sense. I reported this to my insurance company and they tried to run from the liability. The owner John Taylor took interest in my case because we were having health issues and he called the insurance company on my behalf and described to them how their improper drying procedures allowed for the mold to grow in my home which was obviously causing health related issues. The insurance company must of known Mr. Taylor was highly certified and was an advocate of me the homeowner and thhe insurance company Nation Wide finally agreed to take responsibility for the claim. Mold Aid scheduled an appointment and their crew removed all of the contaminated materials, ran air scrubbers, wiped down and cleaned the entire home and cleaned and sterilized the ductwork. The crew was very professional and I was updated the entire time on the progress. When we returned to the home we found the home to be incredibly clean and the job was neatly performed. I noticed after a few days that my symptoms were better and I called Mr. Taylor to thank him. We talked for a while and he asked about my reparatory problems. I told them they were better. The next day I had a knock at my door and one of Mold Aid employees had brought me a Health Pro Plus unit to my home. They said it was a gift from Mr. Taylor the owner. He was worried about my health issue enough to give me a $1000.00 Air Purifier which cleans the air in my entire home. I called him to thank him and he said no worries. He thought that because my insurance company was stalling it may have caused me some health issue from the exposure and he wanted to help as much as he could. I highly recommend MOLD AID. They are an amazing group. All of their testing people are certified environmentalist and they are the most certified company in the industry that I could find. They are thoughtful, kind and professional and I am so grateful they took my case. Here is thier website www.moldaid / Members may email me anytime to discuss this great company more

Does anyone else find this odd... 1/12/2012

So people say their negative (yet honest) reviews are getting deleted but all the 5 star reviews are staying... Click on the user names of these 5 star reviews. Most people sign up for a review website and leave multiple reviews for multiple places of business - Every single reviewer signed up the same day they left the 5 star review (that coincidentally... answer/contradict the bad review complaints) and then fell off of citysearch. I myself had a horrible experience and saw these reviews and signed up but I am more of a Yelp! person. All in all they just suck. They lie, steal and are under if not un-certified w/ what they say they have. Now that I have said this about the 5 star reviews, see if there is a trend in reviews after mine if they are good. more

Mold Aid Helped My Family Diagnose and Remediate A Serious Mold Problem more

Mold Aid Is Wonderful!!!!!!!! Thank you 12/8/2010

Mold Aid, was called because we found some mold in a room in our home. We also noticed our crawlspace had some seepage through the foundation walls and our ductwork was quite dirty. They identified the problem explained it to us in a way we clearly understood and then they provided remediation services. The services included sealing the foundation walls in our crawlspace, cleaning and encapsulating issues inside the home, cleaning and treating our ductwork and a full house wipedown. My husband and I are expecting our first child in January. We were very concerned when we realized we had a significant indoor air quality problem. I felt comfortable with Mold Aid. Their indoor air quality experts are friedly and courteous and were excellent communicators. We had tons of questions and they were available to answer all of our questions prior to work. The job went perfectly and the follow up was good. I am comfortable the new addition to our family will have a healthy home to live. I Highly recommend Mold Aid. I did a lot of research and feel we made a good decision with this hire. more

Incredible Mold Aid Thank you! 10/15/2010

Our contracting of the Mold Aid firm could not have been better. They were able to come to my home within a couple days to review my lab reports and reinspect my home. They presented to me a very detailed bid and description of work. I researched thier credentials and my representative Rusty Spearman was one of the most certified guys in the indoor air quality industry. He was very efficient and super responsive to to our very nervous questions. The cost of the remediation was really tough on us but we had to do it. They were not the most expensive but this project was costly. I wanted to make sure we had the best company availble to do the work on our home. After the job was complete I was very satisfied. We recieved a certified clearance and even my wife was surprised how clean the home was when we returned to our house. This company is good. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a certified indoor air quality company. We had a mold remediation done on our home and a duct cleaning and it went perfectly. My family feels great about the results ! Thank you to Mr. Taylor and his staff! You made us feel comfortable and well taken care of during a stressful time. We could not be happier with the results of your service! SM more

Great Company!! Highly Recommend 10/14/2010

Description Of Work: Mold Inspection, Mold Remediation , Home Inspection and Testing, Customer ServiceMember Comments: Over all this was a great experience! I am glad to postively report my story. There was a leak in a pipe from the upper level of my home. The leak traveled to my basement. We fixed the leak but let the repair of the drywall go for a while until we started seeing mold on the cieling. My family started having symptoms, like an allergic reaction. So I thought I should call a mold company. We called a few companies and Mold Aid was the most professional, they gave me a straight price for the testing services. They came in and were very nice to deal with. They removed the moldy materials, treated the areas, cleaned the ductwork, wiped down the home per the scope of work. Thier price was the best one I could find. I shopped around when they provided me with the scope of work. After the job was complete I realized that I would have picked them even if thier price was higher. The house was in amazing condition. They removed the materials neatly to make it easier for build back and the home was really clean. I was amazed how kind, helpful and professional thier staff was from the administration to the incredible crew they sent to my home. Mold Aid has a two year warranty that includes the air quality and it comes with the service. The warranty is the best in the industry. The people I delt with were Kelly, Glen, Mary, Codi and Mr. Taylor. I might be missing some of the crew names but I want to thank them all for the great customer service. This is a stressful thing to go through and they were great at giving me peace of mind. Thank you Mold Aid . I would recommend this team of professionals to anyone. more

Worst Experience Ever- Theft caught on VIDEO 10/10/2010

Video is posted under user name Moldaid1 on www.youtube. Mold Aid first visited my home in March to do an inspection and provide an estimate and scope of work. Due to their insurance policy the company does not permit anyone to be present during the remediation work. Later in the day I drove by the home to find the garage door open and poorly covered belongings in the garage while workers carelessly removed drywall from the ceiling. In court Mr. Taylor claimed that since the garage or crawlspace would be considered unlived in space, it would not need to be properly contained to protect belongings or possible cross contamination. The company did not use 6mil plastic as stated in the contract and failed to use any form of negative air pressure, or air cleaning devise. The company returned a month later to complete the work, on the HVAC and failed to cover any belongings with in the home. more

Mold Stayed! 9/1/2010

This company is now deleting negative reviews from City Search. Most review sites allow this. I have also been treated terribly by this company. John Taylor's temper is nothing short of scary and completely over the top. The work was not performed properly. Look elsewhere if you need mold remediation. A home with mold is stressful enough. ****Anyone who has had their review removed: Just log into your account and select edit reviews. You will find your review there. Mold Aid / AHS - A Nightmare 7/18/2010

I returned home to debris covering everything in the remediated area and spread around my new home. The workers damaged possessions as well.I was skeptical when I learned that the clearance was based on the results of a particle counter. The results from a particle counter can easily be skewed. My Mold Aid contract states that the clearance will be based on testing that mirrors the initial testing, which in my case was air sampling. I decided to hire a mold inspector to take a post-remediation air sample. The remediated area failed. Additionally, my inspector found that the HVAC system had not been cleaned as outlined in the protocol. This was easy to determine since it was a new unit and the seal had not been broken. When I attempted to amicably resolve these issues with the company President, John Taylor, I was met with screaming and verbal abuse. In phone conversations and in e-mails he called me crazy, amongst other things, and a con artist. When I asked him to inform me of my home's remaining construction problems (I did not believe that my builder had corrected the problems), he wrote, ""I have told you for the hundredth time that your home is fine. Stop the crazy long enough and allow your builder to rebuild."" When the rains returned my home experienced additional water intrusions. Had I allowed Mr. Taylor to intimidate me into allowing the rebuild, my home would have had additional mold growth, and a second demolition and remediation would have been necessary. Later, I was threatened with legal action if I did not remove my reviews. He continued to harass me in e-mails as well.I understand what constitutes libel and its ramifications, and feel quite secure in leaving my reviews in place. Everything I have ever stated is supported with documentation. I did attempt to dispute the charges. My credit card company tried their best to help me, but they can only do so much once a contract is signed. This is true even though it was clear to them that I was in the right. During the dispute process, Mr. Taylor, who seems to not understand the ramifications of libel, wrote bold faced lies about me. He stated that I was a mentally unstable con artist with a history of conning companies. He claimed that he had never been paid because I had canceled my credit card. This claim was made on the same day that Mold Aid charged an additional $4,420 to my ""canceled"" card. It was clear to my local bank card branch that I was not a mentally unstable con artist, but the claims that my credit card had been canceled and that he had never received payment unequivocally destroyed Mr. Taylor's credibility. It was an unwise move to lie to the credit company since they have full access to all transactions on the card. Indeed, Mr. Taylor had been paid $8,840, twice the price of the remediation. All of the falsehoods made by Mr. Taylor outraged the bank, and they strongly suggested that I take further action. So far my only victory is that I was able to prove Mr. Taylor to be many of the things he claimed that I was. Check Angie's List and the Yellow Pages (online). Sites such as Merchant's Circle allow the company to delete negative reviews. Pros: My home was still standing when I returned Cons: the work, treatment of my home, abusive and harassing more

Mold Aid can help remove everything but mold 7/11/2010

Be careful! I personally had a very bad experience with Mold Aid, the owner claimed that I am not rich enough, told me I was in big trouble and needed to get out of town, called me a CRAZY LADY, and a scam artist. I was told I could not remove my belongings and that the thought of doing so was stupid, and I was also not permitted to lock up my belongings while they were doing work. I am a tenant and had no say in the matter. Mold aid did not follow the standard guidelines while remediating the home, and additional testing has come back to show that the mold problem within my home has not been corrected. I am now trying to recover stolen property taken from my home, and the owner of the company has been less than cooperative. If you are comfortable with being bullied and having a company go through your drawers refrigerator, and medicine cabinets, this company may work for you. Pros: Fast and they can remember to lock the door. Cons: They are rude and fail to remediate the home. more
