I have gone to this place several times and I have to tell you, the fangs I bought for Halloween were incredible! I had more people ask me if I had my dentist do them. If you have any need for a costume of any sort, this is your place! more

I have been in Dallas for several years now and I have shopped around the other shops. Most of the time I have recieved no help to little help in my selection. This store is awesome. Their selection not only on the retail side but their rental side...OMG it is amazing. The staff know what they are talking about, will actually talk to you to find out what you are needing and suggest things you might have forgotten about. They have saved me so much money just in that part, I can get it all done, and be ready to PARTY!!! I will always keep coming back again and again. more

The employees that work at Costume World were friendly and very helpful. The selection is amazing along with the history of where some of the costumes come from and the prices aren't bad either. They even sized the costume to fit me since it was too big ! I needed a costume for a work event which I was to wear all week long. To my surprise I get back to the office with the costume and I had got the dates wrong for the week long event. So I called Costume World and told them of my mistake they told me not to worry about a thing they would change the due date to the next week! (NO EXTRA CHARGE!) To top it off they were so personable they wanted me to bring pictures in of how the event turned out. I will come here for all of my costume needs and I live in Fort Worth. more

My daughter is in theatre at school so we have had to utilize this store several times. They have a great selection but of course most of them are in smaller sizes so if you are larger size 14 and up you might not find very much. they do offer alterations at a price of course. We have never left renting a costume under $100 so be careful they are not cheap. more

I rented a costume for my daughter in early October which was returned timely. Imagine my surprise when over a month later (after Halloween), I received a $75 charge on my credit card for an unreturned costume. I would not have known about the charge but for a call from the store inquiring a week after the charge was made on my account as to when I was going to return the costume. Obviously, this store can not keep track of its inventory and their customers do not even rate a courtesy call before they charge their credit cards late fees. To make matters worse, when I called to get the charges refunded, the woman answering at the corporate office (this type of thing can't be handled in Dallas) was very rude. more

Well, I must say I have been a part of the theatrical world for a while now...I had a friend who's a music teacher who told me about this place. I went over there and was floored by the selection. I'm talking about actual theatrical costumes, not costumes you can buy and throw on a hanger and charge $25 for, which is what I've been settling for in the past. They had ACTUAL show pieces, even historical shows from broadway. And the staff was extremely knowledgable of show pieces and time periods. I wound up speaking to their theatre center in Florida, found out they are the nation's largest rental company. You may pay a little more than the other shops, but after many years of working with the others ( I don't like to name names but there are technically only 2 other rental shops and I am speaking plural so I will allow you to put 2 + 2 together) I find it hard to not give Costume World my repeat business. Fast alts, great selection, clean enviroment, and fun. I'm so sick of going into costume shops that are like your grandmother's attic and there's the librarian woman behind the counter who looks like she rather die than help you. This place was energetic, the employees were cutting up, there was dance music playing, and you can tell the other customers were having a good time and the employees truly enjoyed working there. Last Halloween I purchased a costume from Costume world and I will have to say that it was very comfortable and their prices are competitive. At Costume World, you can rent pr purchase their costumes. They also have an area of Theater Costumes if you are in a local play. The staff was helpful in find a costume for me. I will definitely go back next year. more

Usually people are helpful here, but there is at least onee woman you'll want to avoid. Also, their North Dallas location comes with North Dallas prices -- I found them to be about double the cost of almost every other shop in town.
