BIG TIME FAIL. 11/2/2011

Tried to use this place to get a simple cleaning -- twice. First time, I called ahead, said no problem, filled out paperwork and waited 3 (THREE) hours, then left in disgust. Second time, I again called ahead, was there one hour before closing, then a dental tech says they might not be able to get my cleaning done that night, that I would likely have to come back. When asking about how long it would take, she couldn't give me an answer and said there are different kinds of cleanings. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your time -- don't be fooled by the extended evening hours -- they also only do cleanings at the Southside locations on Wednesdays. Good luck. more

SCAM! HORRIBLE! 6/24/2011

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! 250$$ for a dentist just to LOOK at your absessed tooth. Thats NOT JUST to pull it out! oh no that's an EXTRA charge. My mother couldn't get it pulled out that day but she just wanted anti-biotics and pain meds to get through the weekend and we could have just gone to med check for less. Rediculous a dentist costs more than med check. He wasn't even going to write her a rpescription. ""Thanks for comming in heres a 250 $ bill for my 10 min. of time to tell you you need to pull it out!"" what a rip off. We asked for pain meds and antibiotics. The idiot only wrote for the pain meds and no antibiotics to help my mother get through the weekend. He couldn't bother with anti-biotic prescription that was too complicated for him obviously this was the one in castleton and the after hours which we had to wait on the dentist after hours they didn't even have one in early afternoon... yeah so you have to pay more for the after hours.. again what a rip off. Do this stuff on purpose! more

An Inside Look 2/1/2009

I have 15 years experience in dentistry as a dental assistant. I worked at the S. 31 ImmediaDent and filled in at the 21st street location several times. I now work for a private dental practice. Dentistry has really changed within the last 15 years. You are now starting to see corporate, walk-in dental offices with names such as ImmediaDent, formally known as Urgent Dental Care. Do you have a toothache or have you ever experienced one? Chances are, you have/had that toothache because: A)There is large decay (cavity)present that is effecting the nerve of that tooth, which will lead to an infection if untreated. B)There is trauma to the nerve of the tooth due to an accident. Many times, teeth causing this much pain can be saved with a root canal. ImmediaDent, formally known as Urgent Dental Care's target patient productivity comes from two different types of patients:A)The patient who does not have a general dentist and has not seen the dentist in a long time. B)The patient who has a general dentist, but can't be seen due to conflicts with scheduling. Both patients have one thing in common. They came to ImmediaDent because they are usually in pain. For the patient who has not been to the dentist in a long time-chances are, you have other teeth in your mouth that are going to end up in the same condition as the 1 tooth that you are complaining about, if you do not start seeing a dentist regularly. ImmediaDent has extended hours, unlike your private practices. They are open 9-9 Monday-Sunday. They offer a full service of dentistry, including cleanings. Yes, this does cater to the patients who work later hours. Many people don't know what to expect when they walk in to an ImmediaDent office. I reccomend ImmediaDent for someone who is experiencing tooth pain. The doctors at these facilities are very kind. Many of them own their own practice and work for ImmediaDent part-time. If you are looking for stability in a dental office, I would find a private practice. Pros: Extended hours, Caters to urgent dental needs Cons: Continuous change in staff and company philosophy more

NEVER EVER AGAIN 5/2/2008

This place is not recommeded, it is a joke to the staff how much pain you are in. Such lack of caring by the entire staff. My dr. recommended them as he was out of town. I trusted him, and had a really bad experience. There was red spotson the suckers handles. The floors had trash dumped all over them. The really heavy set red head up front has the worst attitude ever. She is rude, obnoxious, and made me come to her in front of everyone to discuss my problem and financials becasue she did not want to get out of the chair. I started having my doubts, I asked for the manager, and some blonde lady came out of an office. I think she is totally clueless. She has no idea what her staff does, yet she tries to fix it. By this time I was told I can either pay and get my work done or I would have to leave. They have spent enought time with me, and have others to take care of. I left. If I was running this business I would not have either one of those women there. They did nothing but aggrevate my situation worse. And I will be telling my dentist to not recommend this office anymore. I would pick wishard first. I just cannot get over the lack of kindness especially by the red head front desk, and then her manager defending her to kick me out. Whatever I guess that is what you get for the type of office this is. Choosing other alternatives from now on. Cons: UNCARING, AGGREVATING, RUDE STAFF more
