I have been to Italy and I can safely say that there is no difference in the food you will find at Il Fornaio and the cuisine of Italy. PLUS as a bonus the service is better. The staff is warm and friendly. A must. We had the Capellacci di Zucca. A butternut squash ravioli with a sage-brown butter sauce. You also have to try the Zuppe di Pesce. A fish & shellfish stew (in the same vein as Cioppino) in a savory broth with tomatoes.
