I visited this place because I am known as a sushi lover and a co-worker had recommended Ichibar. This place opened only about 2 months ago so I was not surprised I had never heard of it. When I visited with some of my friends, I was not disappointed.
The outside looked bland and the location was not that great as it was in the middle of a strip mall but as soon as I stepped inside I was amazed at how spacious and beautifully decorated the interior was. I was first greeted with a koi pond complete with a waterfall and two huge boulders. They also had a full bar with a great selection of cocktails and wine. You can choose to sit at a table, booth, or even at the sushi bar, where you can watch the sushi chefs make the sushi right in front of you.
Since I was craving sushi I had the Triangle roll and Ichibar roll, both of which were absolutely delicious and without a doubt the best sushi I've had in a while. One of my friends ordered the beef teriyaki which came to her sizzling hot. I had a bite and although I'm very picky when it comes to beef, this quickly became one of my favorite beef dishes. The sauce was very savory and not too sweet, just how I like it. The beef was also very moist and tender and you get a huge portion for the price.
Overall, I loved my first visit to this place and I plan to come back to try the vast selection of sushi. I highly highly recommend this place to any lover of sushi or asian cuisine!
