The food and dining style at Il Molino is the closest to authentic Italian style food and dining that I have had outside of Italy. Each course is delicious and so well made. I don't think that I had any problems with anything that I ordered or tried. This will be a long meal and you will be beyond full afterwards, but it really is so worth it. This restaurant is pricey, but I do believe that it is worth the price. With that said, this is not a restaurant to go to for a quick bite before the show or going to the clubs; this is a nice place to sit, eat, and relax. Take your time and enjoy it. more

I feel the Las Vegas branch is better than the original. 12/18/2008

Many consider Il Mulino the finest Italian restaurant in New York. As such, it is no wonder then that they followed the trend and opened up another in Las Vegas.\r \r What is unusual is that I feel the Las Vegas branch is better than the original. The reason is that here there is elbow room and reservations are honored. In New York, the food is great and you eat there in spite of their tardiness and close seating proximity.\r \r All the food is great. The portions are large and the ?free? appetizers they bring in at the beginning are enough for an entire meal.\r \r For the Sea Bass crowd, this is the best in town (tied with Bartolatta at Wynn Las Vegas). The Osso Bucco works well for the meat fans and is a perennial favorite.\r \r If you like rich pasta, you?ll love the Ravioli filled with Porcini Mushrooms, in a black truffle sauce, covered with their delectable cream sauce.\r \r You get the point. It is a big bold meal that you?ll remember, and want to repeat once in a while. more

Great Service, Great Foof 2/18/2007

I went on my anniversary and was very impressed. Very romantic atmosphere, candles and roses on the tables. They start you out with an assortment of things, big enough for an appetizer. They also give you a big hunk of parmasean cheese off of a cheese wheel, best parm i've ever had, and loads of bread. The escargot in mushroom caps was very good, much different than i've ever had it prepared. The cappollini il mulino was amazing, the tomato sauce was to die for. I had the veal with fontina and prosciutto, which was also delicious. Our multiple servers were so great. Pay attention during the specials though, there are a lot of them. Pros: Great service, decor, and food Cons: Long list of specials not listed on menu are hard to remember more

Hands Down, Best Italian Food 1/3/2007

I had heard of Il Mulino in NYC, but had never made it there. When I went to Lake Las Vegas for New Years, we decided to head to the strip one night to get dinner. Il Mulino was incredible. The service was fantastic and the food was to die for. They start out with a few samplings, a variety of bread and a chunk of parmesan cheese. The porcini mushroom ravioli melts in your mouth and the Dover Sole was the best I've had. Plus, it wasn't too cramped, as I've heard the one in NY can be. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Pros: Food, Service, Friendly staff Cons: In a mall, very expensive more

Good enough Italian to almost forget you're in a mall 1/2/2007

Good experience dining, but a bit tight unless you get a table early. Ask and ye shall receive. Enjoy the pre-meal tasties... more

Amazing food, ambience and friendly servers 11/2/2006

This is by far one of my favorite places to eat. They spoil you with bread, real parmasean cheese, bruschetta, and this other amazing mushroom topping. You are almost too filled up on the free stuff before your meal comes. We've eaten several different types of veal, and pastas there. And everytime we try something new, its even better then the last time. Service is very friendly. Pros: Excellent food, friendly waiters, ambience Cons: Tucked away and hard to find- more

Best italian food in town... 8/6/2006

i've been here a few times for dinner and a few times for lunch, I really love it as a dinner place. It does take time, but I go with the expectation its a 2-3 hour dinner and have now show tickets! the service is great, better when its a little slow like a sunday night, but always as been great. Eveything from the appitizers to the specials are great. I highly recomend it for a special date or occasion. Pros: Food, Service Cons: A little pricey more

Best service and food in Las Vegas 1/25/2006

We live in Las Vegas and frequent Il Mulino. We have always had great food and excellent service. We have eaten here a dozen or more times since it has opened. We welcome the fact that dinner is not rushed and the service is constant. Il Mulino is not a restaurant, bit an experience. We always bring our friends and family here when they visit and we celebrate all our special occasions at Il Mulino. It's Fantastico!!!!! Pros: great service, excellent food, nice atmosphere Cons: expensive more

Service lacking..but food worth it! 12/30/2005

I have eaten at the NY location and this is completely different, other than the fact you will get great food. Myself and friends have now eaten at the Vegas location several times, which has an upscale restaurant setting, and the food is now a can't miss when in town. YES...the service at times can flat out suck, but you need to go with the understanding that the meal is not on a clock. They provide numerous appetizers before you even order (all of which is delicious) and we have never gotten anything but fabulous food. If your on a time schedule, plan on eating somewhere else, otherwise this is an italian restaurant very different from the others, and should be tried at least once. This comes from a person that generally will overlook average food when service is exceptional...I expect alot when your paying alot. Pros: food, menu variety Cons: service, price more

Plan on 3 hours 10/18/2005

Wife and myself were just there/Oct 17. Monday night. Arrived 6:50 for 7:00 reservatoin. Sat at Bar until 7:15 finally had to ask to be sat. Sat down Verbal menu was at 8:00. Food didn't arrive till after 8:45. All items are almost table side. Staff looked like they were in total Chaos the entire night. We counted 17 times that a waiter or bus person was RUNNING through the REST. You would think that they were overstaffed w/2 Capitans, 10 waiters and 3 bussers you think w/ 20 tables would run smooth. NOT HERE. for the price of the food I would of thought I would of gotten 5 star service. GOT 1-2.... Meal cost over 200.00 for a two course meal for two of us each with alcholoic drink. I would of been glad to pay that price for better service. I WILL SAY the FOOD WAS GREAT...... Pros: FOod Cons: Wait time, Service more

Good food; service a little strange 9/3/2005

We enjoyed our food very much and the complimentary appetizers were a nice touch. Room was busy and the wait for a menu was too long (maitre d' explained that they had their ""own procedures"" for presenting menus and the chef's daily offerings. That said the list of offerings delivered by the waiter was impressive and very long. If short-term memory is an issue for you--you will be challenged here. My saltimbocca was excellent and my husband's pappardelle pasta course and osso buco was wonder ful, too. Service was a bit ragged and some of the waiters had mannerisms and behavior that bore an unnerving resemblance to characters from Monty' Python's skits. There was something a bit odd about the overall experience (it felt like a throw-back to a different era) --perhaps the staff think they have some special ""image"" to live up to...perhaps this is a ""destination"" place. Pros: food, menu choices Cons: slow service, bit chaotic more
