From the minute my husband and I walked into Joann's space, there was a sense of calm. the dogs barked only when we came through the door, then she got them all quiet. that by itself was kind of a weird miracle we did not understand, until she told us dogs bark because of stress. our six month old pug liked the place at once. he was hugging and kissing her like she was his new best friend. since training there, he has been more fun to walk and just have around. great place. Pros: nice atmosphere Cons: none, it is easy to find and centrally located more

My dog Kong 8/9/2006

I have a Mastiff named Kong. Il Cane Dolce's knowledge of canine behavior was amazing. She had highly intuitive ideas about what my pet needed in terms of behavior problems. I am very happy I went there. Kong is still a puppy, but growing by miles every day. I am not sure my wife would've been able to handle him, once he grew to full size. We also have three small children and the situation at home was becoming unbarable. Our dog was jumping. nipping at clothes and destroying household items like chewing on the coffee table. He no longer does these things and it is because we came to realize he needed more structure. Amen more

I had a death in the family and Joanne did not charge me for boarding. This is just one of the kind things she has done for me. I have been working with her for several years and she takes care of my dog if I go out of town. The traing, was amazing too. She transformed my goofy Lab into a different dog. He used to jump on people, steal food from the table and he was very mouthy, with play biting. No longer! he lets me clip his nails, which used to be a nightmare. He is very polite now when I have company and I take him everyplace. It is so much more fun! Pros: so many to mention more

JoAnn DeAngelo the owner is a loving and respectful person, both towards me and my canine pal, Rocco (Roo roo to her) We did the weekly lessons and they worked nicely for my personal situation. I am a teacher with the Summer off and I decided to "have more time" with my dog. She offers a board and train, I was going to do this, while I was away, but my vacation fell through. At any rate, we did the weekly lessons and now we are doing the follow up classes. Classes are fun and he is always happy to see her. There are some real regulars in the group, and they are nice and welcoming as well. You can tell who they are, by their dogs. lol Again it is a pleasure to work with this trainer, so glad for the experience. Rocco's papa more

personal attention, refreshers 7/30/2006

Il cane dolce is by far the nicest training I have been to. I have tried to train my dog Tessa with another trainer at another place but did not get the results I wanted. And I spent twice the money at the other place. It is clear from working with the trainers there, they love the dogs and it is quiet there. I went to a group class last time and it was too disorganzied. more

Much better than my other trainer 7/27/2006

IL Cane Dolce is awesome. I love the group sessions. Seeing the other dogs is real inspirational, since I am neww to the class. I had gone to a trainer in CA and the results were not the same. My dog Tessa is a different dog. She watches me more and listens much better. When I head back to CA I know I will have a better time with my dog. JoAnn had trained my other dog Trixie and it was nice to re connet with JoAnn this year. Becky Pros: groups free dog is better more
