Hylock Kennels

I was referred to her as she consults for Ameridae too. Trained me and my dog :) I think she has special powers because elsewhere we had already spent way too much for way too little result. Her rates don't reflect her value. Says so much that made sense to us and made it a family affair. Her goal is forever homes for the dogs ... one dog at a time and part of that is being able to afford your pet. Now we are good humans for our rambunctious but now well-mannered furry kid. more

Zoe loves them. I love that. My dog is an enigma... takes her a while to warm up to strangers especially in strange new places but once she does, she is so wild puppy social. Her prior kennel was okay. She was still a bit shy but seemed to be well kept. At a get-together, I heard someone talking dogs. She couldn't say enough about how much she loved Hylock. I never heard of the place so I asked. She said that they like to do business by referral. After talking dogs a bit more, she was kind of enough to tell me I could drop her name if I wanted to try the kennel. First impressions on phone were good. They sent me some pictures. I really got the feeling that they loved what they do and that they were very dog smart. They put a lot of thought about the dog's stay in their camp. Fran and Beverly are really amazing. Knowledgeable and experienced. They showed me a quick technique to keep her from pulling the kids over when they try to walk her on leash. So simple and a great help. Hylock is so different yet in a great way. She actually came back from ""camp"" with better manners than when she left :) us. That showed me that they took personal time with her. When she (not a bit shy) went back to Beverly for a nice scratch... Beverly knew her favorite spot right off. The little things say a lot. That was just in one visit. wow! Our Vet recommended Hylock Kennels. Our pet is old and has special needs and medicine requirements. We expressed concerns as our previous kennel suited our girl but as she aged we were concerned that her needs would continue to be met and the prior kennel charged extra for giving her medicines. We are so pleased with Hylock's ""canine camp"" as Hylock calls it! They say that it is all about the pets and it's true. Her stays include her personal attention, exercise and twice a day medicines with no extra charges. She likes to visit and that leaves us feeling that she is loved and in great care when we have to be away. The wags in her tail for them there says it all! We found THE place for our second kids (our dogs). We never had seen ads for this kennel so we didn't know a thing about the place but this is where our vet referred us when we needed to be away and couldn't take our dogs. We trust our vet and made the call. They asked how we heard about them. She said 9 out of 10 dogs are either client or vet referrals there so thats probably why we never heard about them. I almost didn't write review for selfish reasons. I never want them to get so busy that I would have to take our dogs somewhere else. But I feel good sharing how great they are too. When we talked, she had answers before we even knew the questions. :) They told us ""here everything is about the pets"" and it's true. Our babies come back happy and like to visit. We ask them if they want to go to camp and they get excited. That tells us all we need to know to feel great about the care. Without guilt and worry, we find ourselves going together as a family more too. more
