AS a patron for 3yrs, I have found a Home. They cook like angels and you are the focus of their attention. The place has a warm, glowing warm that is not generated by the kitchen but by the community of people who operate Romeo's. Everyone is committed to your dining experience 0- and as I said, the food absolutely fantastic. An extensive menu is great, but they are always happy to customize your meal to your liking,whether it be adding an extra meatball (to die for) of having Michael Waugh, the Chef, create a special for you. This is the best Italian food in southern Orange County by far!! All the food is freshly cooked in an open kitchen and comes to your table steaming hot! When asked if they can modify a dish on the menu, for instance a red sauce instead of a cream sauce, it has always been NO problem and always excellent.\r \r Highly recommend! more

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurant in Orange County. It has a euraopean charm. I love the decor and ambiance of the place. And the service and food was top notch. The food always taste so fresh and I LOVE the wood buring oven for the pizza. It's makes the pizza taste deilicous! I just found out they have live dancing Saturday nights at 9:30. I can't wait! Sounds like fun. more

Romeo Cucina brought a touch of Italy to the 13th Annual Vintage event at the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano on October 17th as hundreds of guests celebrated the feast of the city's Italian heritage. Romeo Cucina was a part of the 'Little Italy' section of the evenings festivities which included live music, dancing, casino area and silent auction. The highlight for all was the opportunity to sample Romeo Cucina's signature pasta which received rave reviews from all that attended. Molto Buono!!! more

Romeo Cucina catered a Newcomers of Saddleback Valley event this past October 24th and the food was a great hit! They served Chicken Marsala, Baked Beef Ziti, salad & bread - everyone thought the food was delicious and the Chicken Marsala was everyone's favorite. I would hire them again!!! There are three words that come to mind when talking about my experiences at Romeo Cucina. First is delicious; the food at Romeo Cucina is absolutely positively mouth-watering. From the olive tapenade that comes with the basket of warm bread at the onset of your meal, to the sizzling garlic and olive oil which permeates the air as a myriad of rustic dishes are being prepared. Personally, I enjoy their hearty seafood soup, called Cioppino, and their authentic style thin-crust pizzas.\r \r The second word that comes to mind about Romeo Cucina is healthy. When eating, the meals are surprisingly light and yet carry a burst of flavor that can only come through via a scrumptious blend of extra virgin olive oil, rather than butter, and the freshest ingredients. My roommate brought me to Romeo Cucina on a Saturday night for Salsa night. The restaurant has a dance floor and is very stylish. I ordered cioppino, it was very flavorful; it was the best cioppino I've had, the fish was very very fresh. Also the bartender free- pours when making mixed drinks, so you'll get great drinks. What can I say, I am 100% Italian and I have waited for years for an Italian restaurant that cooks real Italian food. I am excited to say that my search is over and Romeo Cucina's taste just like Nonna's but better. It is so hard to find a restaurant where the staff, food and prices are amazing and you will never be let done, but at Romeo Cucina you will always be treated like one of the family. What more could you ask for in an Italian restaurant? Great food, great ambiance, and fast and friendly service. \r \r The menu is varied from classical dishes to those different family secret recipes including vegitarian meals. This restaurant is great for the entire family, and they do a good job on special events. \r \r On Saturday nights, they have a DJ playing salsa, cha, cha, merengue, and more. Dancers come from all around so it's quite a spectacle just to observe and enjoy. We love Italian food and love eating it at Romeo Cucina! I reserved the whole place for my husband's surprise 50th birthday on Labor Day. Ada proposed menu and wine selections. Michael came up with excellent appetizer selections and arranged for the DJ. Planning this party was the easiest ever. With one phone call and a few emails I arranged dinner, drinks, and dancing for 45 people!\r \r The party was a success; all the guests raved! The food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive. Everything turned out better than I imagined it would. What a great time my family of 10 had at Romeo Cucina. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the owner and taken to our table. As soon as we sat our server was ready to get us anything we needed. It's nice to get individual attention for 10 people! Each one of us were very satisfied with unbelievable pastas. They were so tasty with every bite. The best, creative pasta i've had. Some of us had pink sauce (delicious), seafood pasta with garlic and olive oil (delicious). I was amazed each plate was truly prepared with passion. I can't forget the pizza, they were kind enough to design my brother a pizza of his own. Unbelievable!!! after visiting southern italy several times i can say romeo cucina completely authenticates real southern style italian food. they use fresh ingredients and cook everything to order. their homeade pizza crusts and warm bread are wonderful as well as their homeade gnocchi and ravioli. i love the insalata de la casa (the house salad) with greens, mint and chevre cheese tossed in a yummy balsamic vinegrette. I recommend romeos every time. more

I eat light, or try to, so I normally go for the Minestrone (also great for te cold season) which is some of the best I've had. \r Also, the Aso Bucco is delicious- the lamb's meat with bone marrow, served with a tiny spoon for you to scoop it out, served on pasta; my friend always orders this and swears by it... his all time favorite.\r Recently I tried a new dish: the Montimare- delicious pasta served with scallops, shrimp, and I can't remember what else. But if you like seafood, you'll love this dish.\r \r I eat here at least every other week if not every week, in other words it's well worth it! more
