Expensive, Faulty Work, Poor Service 6/9/2011

My elderly mother took in her Omega and a Waterford clock to have batteries replaced. The Omega is an expensive watch so it makes sense that it was $70 to replace the battery. However, they charged $30 to replace the battery in the Waterford. Worst of all both batteries were dead within a week of picking them up. They were so rude to her that she isn't willing to have them correct the issue. 1) Expensive, 2) Faulty Work 3) Bad behaviour. more

Poor Treatment of Customers 3/7/2006

I guess you have to spend $100,000 to be treated well at Hyde Park. I cannot believe the way we have been treated by these people. We purchases an engagement mounting (that wasn't exactly cheap) and had a diamond that we purchased elsewhere mounted into the mounting. The ring came back with the diamond crooked and they actually charged us for the appraisal. The appraiser left out 34 diamonds in the appraisal and acted like it was an inconvenience to re-do the appraisal. The women at the service counter were unhelpful and frankly, just plain rude. Go somewhere else to buy your jewelry. They don't care about their customers. more
