Crystal is the ultimate hair master! I had been blonde for many years and had major damage and dark roots. I went red, and Crystal did an amazing job! I recommend her to anyone as a stylist and colorist; she really knows what she is doing. She explains things before she does them and really listens to what her client wants. I don't mind driving 15 miles to hush hush salon because I know she will always do a great job and exceed my expectations, and now because of her I will always remain a gorgeous red head! LOVE IT! Crystal is the best, best, best! more

It is so hard to find a hair stylist that you trust when it comes to your own hair. Crystal is that stylists, the one you have been looking for !!! She is not only bubbly and enegertic, she makes you feel like you have known her for years. She has an eye for what styles will look great on each person individually, and she pays great attention to personal detail making sure each and every client is comfortable and happy. I have been completly satisfied with her, and I have sent my family and friends to her. I hear only wonderful feedback about their experiences with Crystal as well. more

Amazing Stylist-Stephen D'Amico!!! 1/25/2011

Wanting smooth, silky hair has always been my dream. When Stephen D'Amico at Hush Hush Salon was recommended by a co worker to do a Brazilian Blowout I wondered if my dream was about to become reality. The day of my appointment arrived and during our consult I explored the possibility of also adding extensions. Happily, Stephen agreed that adding extensions would complement the look the Brazilian Blowout would give me. Although both services would require considerable time, Stephen's relaxed manner and easy conversation made the time pleasantly pass. When it comes to technique, every facet of Stephen's expertise is of the highest quality. more

Crystal Tye at Hush Hush is the best! 1/22/2011

Crystal is the bomb! She is an excellent stylist/colorist at Hush Hush. She always gets my color spot on and is very accommodating with scheduling. I am the unfortunate one who has a lot of grey that needs coverage in fact, I see her every 3 weeks and the work she does in phenomenal! more

Sid is AMAZING! 7/11/2010

Sid @ Hush Hush is Amazing!!!! (He also works at the sister salon Hush Up on certain days which is a stones throw from Hush Hush.) Sid is an awesome colorist/stylist who has years and years of experience and was also formally trained by Vidal Sassoon and owned his own salon in SF. I tried other stylists at Hush Hush and was never quite thrilled with my hair for the price I was paying..BUT Ive been going to Sid for almost a year now and recently he cut 8 inches off of my hair and gradually turned my brassy blonde hair into a stunning brown with a mixture of low lights and semi permanent color. My entire family, including my father, goes to Sid now! I have so much faith in Sid that I just tell him to ""make my hair look great"" and I always walk out of there with bouncy, soft strands. You can tell he truly cares about making his customers happy and he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hair color. The salon is great too, very sleek and stylish, but I'm not gonna lie, I only go there because Sid is there...If he ever leaves I will surely follow!!! more

Hush Hush is the perfect salon, very hip but classy... everyone was so nice. Stephen D. cuts my hair and he is the best hairdresser/stylist I have ever had... he not only listens to you and what you want but also has a great eye for your perfect hairstyle. He is the only stylist I trust completely with my hair. He even entertains you while in his chair... I will never go to anyone else. If you want to leave your next haircut/color with a smile get your hair done at Hush Hush with Stephen!! more

My hair and I have been to a lot of salons and HUSH UP is the best!!! I've been going to my stylist SHANA for years now and I have never looked better! Her wide range of abilities and her very personable attitude keeps me so satisfied and loyal to her! What I love most about my hair stylist is how I can come to her with a slim concept and vision of what I want and she can take it and make it come to life all on her own....and I can trust her to do so! She has a way of giving my hair a cut and color like no other! Pros: Great stylists! more

Best in South Bay 7/9/2009

I have been going to Hush Hush for about 2 years now and haven't been happier. I was referred by a few friends who see the owner, Rick, and stylist Harmony. I called and got an appointment Mellisa G for highlights and cut. Not only did I love my hair but my husband, who's as blind as a bat, actually noticed and complimented me. The products they carry are amazing, the ambiance is so pleasant, the staff is so friendly, and the wine is ideal for when I get off work. Crystal is the bomb 7/8/2009

Crystal is out of this world amazing. I love my hair and it's been about a month since I saw her. It's kept its shape and the color is just as vibrant as it was the day I walked out of there. I'm not easy to please. I have very high expectations for my hair as it is my most valued asset. And she managed to meet and exceed all my expectations. My hair is thick and wavy and she tackled the job with confidence and poise. She was able to give me a cut that allows me to style my own hair with ease. And she did it all with a great attitude. I get my hair done by one of the many wonderful (and hot) girls who work at Hush Hush. Sara Beihaghi is always accommodating to my scheduling issues and I wouldn't let anyone touch my color but her. I get compliments on my high lights and how natural they look, almost everyday. I've got the Lauren Conrad color right now but she just brought me to this color from Dark Chocolate brown and before that I was platinum. I have never had any breakage or damage and she uses all the best products. You cant go wrong here. Pros: Great color! more

Best colorist in town!!!!!!! 9/5/2008

I just saw Lindsey Pettigrew at Hush Hush . I was walking through town and stopped a girl and asked what salon she went to and she recommended Hush Hush and said she goes to Lindsey, this was the second person who told me to see her. I went and I love it, the highlights are so pretty and she did a few different blonds instead of jus the normal bleach other people do on me. it looks great..and Laura cut my bangs PERFECT!!! I was also surprised when the owner gave me a free shampoo to take home and try. I had a great time in that salon !!! I will always go back to Hush Hush Pros: the obvious my hair looks and feels amazing! Cons: It was hard to book an appointment. more

I've been a loyal client at Hush, then Hush Hush for years. So when my longtime stylist relocated to North Carolina, I was nervous about having to go to someone new. Danielle came highly recommended... and she is GREAT Color, cut and a great blowdry.... my hair is smooth as silk after I leave her chair I get compliments on my hair all the time. She will try to ""fit you in"" if she is booked (yet you never feel rushed) and I love chit chatting with her while she makes me beautiful. Also, if you want extensions, talk to her. more

From Beverly Hills to Hush Hush. 6/9/2008

I have been going to Christophe for the past 4 years, seeing the same stylist...I live in the Marina area so not only were the prices becoming outrageous but the drive was horrible. I decided to give Hush Hush a try, I have a couple of girlfriend who go there. I was recomended to Lindsay... Pros: beach atmosphere, low prices. Cons: None!!! more

Lindsey worked miracles!!!!! 5/13/2008

I have been living in the area for quite some time now, I have been to and tried all of the salons in the area of Manhattan Beach , Hermosa and Redondo and have not been happy until now! I recently ran into someone on the street and loved her color and asked where she got her hair done, she said Lindsey at Hush Hush. My hair is not hard to do but I am very picky about the color blonde it is. Lindsey did such an amazing job, I have not been this happy in a VERY long time!!! Not only is my hair great, the salon is flat out AWESOME with ocean views...Everyone was so friendly!! I will defeintly be returning. Pros: Ocean View, up beat, friendly staff, affordable Cons: parking. more

  • Ric had a vision and it became Hush Salon. Located in the charming downtown area of Manhattan Beach, Hush introduced the South Bay to the lavish, Paris-based product line, Kerastase. Seven years and seven stations in, this lofty SoHo-style studio of hair-art was booming. An opportunity to expand presented itself just a couple blocks away and Ric jumped. Not to mention he was itching to design once again. Much like that client who sits in your chair, throws her hands up and says, I trust you, do whatever you want, this new salon was a blank canvas and Ric was the artist, anxious to create. Hush Hush was going to double the space of its sister salon, so the name came easy- just say it twice! The look was much different too, very contemporary and beachy-chic.
