Huntington Beach City Library

The Huntington beach city library is a great place to read a book without any disturbance from the cellphones.We cannot use the cell phones inside the library and I found it great.There are lot of books and the atmosphere inside the library is great with sitting areas so we can just sit back, relax and enjoy the books. There is a nice park and a beautiful fountain outside the library so the children can just play and have fun.My kids had lot of fun there reading stories and later playing in the park outside.They had lot of fun and just by watching their faces I missed my camera.Next time I will definitely take a camera to take pictures. more

The Huntington Beach library has to be one of the nicest public libraries around. It is absolutely beautiful. You can get a ton of reading/studying done here because it is such a peaceful environment. If it is a nice day they even have places where you can sit outside. It's a great place to hang out for an afternoon ... if you are in to that. more

The Huntington Beach City Library is a nice library to study and read at. The place is very clean and the surrounding area can be very relaxing and calming. They were pretty strict about no using cell phones anywhere inside of the library though. There are lots of books, (of course) and the place is better than usual. more

The Huntington Beach City Library is a great place for family. There are parks there for people to play in or have sport games played. There is a huge fountain out front for pictures or to just sit out and listen to while laying in the sun. The library has a lot of books, about 2-3 floors. The floors are small so it's kinda difficult to say if the building has stories. The library has a lot of sitting places for students and residents to come to, to relax and study. There are a few fountains in a study area. It's a soothing sound to help the concentration, but also a little too relaxing. I find that in a sense, I was sleepy more of the time rather than focused. There is also a section where they have a theater where they have city concerts held. I have been to a few of their classical music concerts. They are very good. The theater is small, but it's intimate enough to get a good sense of the music also share with a couple 100 people or so. The only downfall is when you are in the library, turn your phone off, and prepare not to use it at all. There is a fee to pay if you are caught using your cell phone. more
