As a San Diego native, I've been to concerts at Humphrey's music venue, but I had never been to the hotel side before. Entirely secluded from the outs more

Humphreys is a fun place to visit for many reasons. Bar/lounge is great fun with personable bar service, excellent Sunday brunch and fabulous outdoor concerts! So much fun with a beautiful view. more

Great brunch on Sunday's 6/16/2009

If you are looking for an outstanding great place for Sunday Brunch then you have found your spot. Oh did I mention that if you make reservations you can also listen to the sounds of some great jazz musicians. YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT $40.00 for all you can eat breakfast and Mimosa's. You glass is never empty because the server's are always around making sure you have a refill. I like the fact that they feature uprising jazz artists. This is also a family oriented restaurant so make it a family outing. more

By the Bay 1/9/2009

I noticed lately that a lot of Shelter Island restaurants are giving great deals for dinner. So I went to Humphrey's and it had a great view like the Bali restaurant. They have some good seafood and other island favorites. If you are young you might want to try this restaurant instead of another on Shelter Island. This one has a really modern decor. more

Polynesian paradise minutes from the San Diego airport. 11/21/2008

The Shelter Island location allows you to feel like you are miles away from the city. Very nice pool with a good pool-side bar. We stayed in a room that was cheerfully decorated and had a patio. They have a fitness center and Humphrey's Restarurant was a great place to dine. more

humphrey's is a must 3/30/2006

whenever we visit san diego we include a stay ay humphrey's. the rooms are very nice but the grounds are beautiful and always impress first time visitors with us. the location on shelter island provides great views of the city, the bay and point loma. i like to take a morning run around the island and always see seals, dolphins, and lots of different bird life. humphrey's is also just a quick walk to one of our favorite restaurants, the bali hai. we have stayed here at least 6 times and have always enjoyed our stay. Pros: grounds, scenery, rooms more

Paradise 10/5/2005

Whether you want to spoil out of town guests, or treat yourself to a secluded hideaway, Humphreys Half Moon is perfect. The rooms are subtle and comfortable. Mine had a little patio for my morning coffee - surrounded by banana palms and birds of paradise. The pool and spa is heavenly. And the concierge arranged for a sunset massage that was incredible. This place is golden. :-) more

Spectacular Outdoor Concerts At Spectacular Savings 8/29/2005

Humphreys By The Bay is a great place to go see a concert, especially on a cool, summer evening. This outdoor stage is a comfortable, fun environment to see any type of concert. The prices are affordable compared to other venues in San Diego, the setting is breathtakingly beautiful, and you just cant help but have a great time at Humphreys By The Bay. Whether you like country music, or gospel music, or any kind of music in between, you are sure to enjoy your Humphreys By The Bay concert experience. If you are a lucky caller, you can even snag free tickets in local television and radio giveaways. I saw Brad Paisley in concert at Humphreys By The Bay and it was one of the most enjoyable concerts that I have ever been too. more

Luxury at it's best, polynesian style 8/4/2005

If you're into polynesian then this is the place for you to stay or walk the grounds of. Upon arriving you'll be impressed with the architecture of the building itself and each room has a polynesian touch too. The pool area is magnificent and if you look closely you'll find tikis hidden within the foliage. Also on the hotel grounds you'll find a stage where, during the summer, concerts are given where some big name bands come and play. There is also a very nice restaurant on the grounds too. Definitely a hotel to stay at if not for a weekend then a special occasion. more

Right in the Middle of the Harbor 3/8/2005

It is really nice to take a walk along the Harbor before you turn in at night. This is the Hotel that you can do it at. You have the ocean on both side of your, the air is wonderful not to mention the view. It is a little ways outside of the main part of town, but it is worth it for the traquilaty. PROS: Relaxing CONS: more

redroom 8/26/2004

The rooms are small, with no amenities. The staff seems to be more concerned about concert goers than hotel guests. There is no parking on concert nights (even though you are told that hotel guests have preferred parking) and there seems to be a lot of non guests hanging out at the pool, drinking and listening to the concert for free. For $200 + per night spend the extra $50 and stay at the Del. Cons: , staff, amenities more
