I arrived here in Bellingham in 1996, and Humboldt Automotive arrived shortly thereafter. I had had some negative experiences with other folks in Bellingham, and I don't know how...

I arrived here in Bellingham in 1996, and Humboldt Automotive arrived shortly thereafter. I had had some negative experiences with other folks in Bellingham, and I don't know how they came to my attention. Maybe I saw an ad. So, I started visiting them, and they were always very courteous, very low key, and very forthright. I had a particularly unusual situation in that I live alone, and if I drop off my car, I have no way to get back home. Paul is always willing to come in and collect me, bring me back to my car, so on and so forth. They do that sort of thing to go above and beyond. more

Quick and easy 9/24/2012

I found out about Humboldt Automotive through my parents, who take their cars there. They fixed my brakes and flushed my clutch. They got both things done quickly and it all worked out well. more

I continue to have my car serviced at Humboldt Automotive because of the the confidence and trustworthiness of their service. 9/19/2012

I have been a customer now for 12 years, and I would say the number one reason I have for being so confident is that I trust them, when I go in with my car, to give me the estimate and stand by that. They will always call me if it's going to be over the estimate, and over the past 12 years, when I have taken my car to them, I have never had a problem with their service, except once with a part. That had to do with a radiator they put in, but they guaranteed their work and replaced it for me. I would have to say that Fred, the mechanic, and Paul have always worked very well with me, and I have always trusted them because of the quality of their work, the fact that they stand by their work, and them always being so respectful. more

Humboldt Automotive is a very good place to get your car repaired. We've taken our cars there for over 12 years, and Mike, Paul and the crew have always been #1 in service, friendly, knowledgeable, fair-priced and able to find the cause of and correct any auto problem we sent them. Because of this, we trust them with our cars and they have never let us down! They are a great shop! more

Call us for an appointment; we can usually schedule it for the same or next day. Antifreeze - With an on-site filter, Humboldt Automotive recycles and reuses the coolant. Used Oil - the used motor oil generated through oil changes is burned on-site in an EPA approved oil burner, providing the shop with its winter heating needs. This technology makes use of a waste and conserves energy resources. Used oil filters are crushed on location to extract the residual oil before being recycled. Cleaning Solvents - Humboldt Automotive bought new water-based parts cleaner soon after joining the EnviroStars program. Parts are washed and the cleaning fluid recycled on site, saving money and reducing pollution. For parts too big to fit in the washer, Loomis often trades machining work or other services with businesses that have larger washers. Fuel Injection Systems - Humboldt recently purchased a system that cycles cleaning chemicals through the engine filters and recycles the chemicals.
