Best

Humble Pie (HP) leaves the most opinionated foodie…..humbled. This place has won my blue ribbon for favorite restaurant in Raleigh. I have visited HP twice now and both times ...

Worst

I enjoy TAPAS style restaurants but stay away from the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Unless you like paying $9 for 3 small pieces of shrimp (and nothing else with it).\r \r The waiters ...

Great Birthday Dinner 7/16/2003

Last night my husband took me to Humble Pie for my birthday, and we made the decision on the customer reviews we had read here. Well I went in there with great expectations (probably unfair actually) but I was not disappointed! It was everything I had hoped for a birthday meal. The food was different but very tasty and the presentation was impressive. The service was great as well. I'll definitely go back. Pros: food, service, price Cons: hot inside more

Best Bet! 7/12/2003

Downtown Action!! 7/7/2003

Have been to new Pie twice and it is totally cool! This is exactly the kind of joint downtown needs. Great menu, outdoor seating, and service is much, much better...Going back this weekend with six others. Pros: cool space, vegetarian selections more

Very Different than before 6/23/2003

I have been going to Humble Pie since it first opened many years ago.The new owners know what they are doing and have turned the pie around. I highly recomend the steak, the best and least expensive in town! There bartender's kick ass! If you had a bad experience in the past, please give it a second chance. more

Bring friends! 6/23/2003

This place is even brighter and more beautiful. Have been twice already. Last time ate DELICIOUS BRUNCH with ten others on outdoor patio. Two big thumbs up! Pros: GREAT BRUNCH, COOL BAR more

Not like old times 6/19/2003

It looks so nice and new and slightly chic but something's missing. Friendly waitstaff that might care if you have been sitting at a table for ten minutes without having been spoken to. Live music on the weekends, a desire to please the customer. Those who used to be customers beware, , the food's not all it could be and you just might feel like you lost something special after you dine there. Pros: Looks Great more

Downtown on the way to revitalization 6/15/2003

Let's think positive...with the new plans for the old train station in the warehouse district downtown we can only hope to be able to enjoy uplifting spaces that will offer great food, great social atmospheres, and great spirits...Well, before all the changes begin I must say that Humble Pie does its job for the area. I had never been there before its renovation, but I'm proud to say that it's become one of my very favorites places in Raleigh. The cheff deserves all the respect for offering us such an incredible gastronomic experience with flavors of the world with the tapas style plates. The bold and colorful space is also very inducive to enjoy the company of great friends. I higly recommend Humble Pie restaurant. And Ican only hope it will be part of the many interesting spaces that will develop in that area. Pros: reastaurant/bar/patio, huge space, in downtown Cons: a little hot inside more

SURPRISE! 5/19/2003

This place is under new management and things have never been better! Atmosphere is warm, service is quick, and tapas menu is mmm good. Outdoor seating and they serve food until 2am. THIS IS DOWNTOWN'S BEST KEPT SECRET! Pros: great atmosphere, delicious food more

Big City Vibe... 8/3/2002

After moving from Chicago, and feeling home sick for good food, Humble Pie is the first place to compare to any of our favorite restaurants in Chi-town. The food is awesome! It lands right into the Urban Gourmet palate that makes Sunday Brunch so popular for the artist/hipster/dincs of lesser advertised Chicago neighborhoods. There's a sweet array of dishes that range from grandma's kitchen fresh to the vibes of a fancy chef. Compliment it with a medley of drinks (i recommend mimosas 'the OJ is so fresh', and the bloody marys rock), or just get a cup of coffee, hang in the atmosphere with some friends or read a local paper and check the art on the walls. Humble Pie is one of the few places here that happened because they have a sweet groove and make great food, not just because they wanted to make some quick cash.... more

I Love Sunday Brunch Here 8/1/2002

especially w/all my friends, who have a tendency to want to meet up here and I'm glad one day I finally acquiesced, now I go as often as I can (but still usually only for Sunday brunch even though a friend works there and another friend's band plays there all the time). more
