Very negative experience. Filled-out the adoption papers, came back the next day and was told dog not availabe; couldn't believe it b/c was told he was availabe just the other day, thus questioned further and was literally given a dozen excuses. Finally said "okay", would like to adopt another one I had my eye on but was bascially told by Adoption Assistant Tivo neither dog I wanted was available for me. Tivo plays God and is the one that decides who gets what. And in my case she decided I was too old (I'm in my 40s), not active enough for either one (I'm a bit overweight), and not the right color skin (I'm American Indian). This despite the fact I've been the proud owner/mother of 10 dogs throughout my lifetime, have 3 acres of gorgeous green backyard, frontyard, 3 lovely doghouses (left over from my beloved companions that died of old age this past decade), brand new beds, bowls, collars, leashes, honestly everything a dog could ask for and need (as God is my witness). And I do not scimp on buying them anything they need, as I have no children of my own, so my dogs are my children. Dr. Heather Stewart of Carousel Veterinary Services is my veterinarian and Mrs. Jeannie Chow of King County Animal License Department said me and my sister have the cleanest house she's ever visited and that we love our dogs (she's the one that comes to your house if you own 3 or more dogs for inspection annually). Finally, after 8 months of grieving for my beloved Jojo, I decided I wanted to adopt another dog, but was turned away by Adoption Assistant Tivo. In the end, she broke my heart, she broke my heart....
