IT CLEARLY STATES ON MY CONTRACT THAT I PAID FOR SOFFIT VENTS, BAFFLES, GARAGE DOOR WEATHERSTRPPING AND IT WAS NEVER DONE. ALMOST 4 YEARS LATER WHEN I HAD ANOTHER ENERGY AUDIT DONE BY A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT BECAUSE HUGHESCO NEVER DID MY ATTIC VENTILATION I NOW HAVE MOISTURE AND MOLD DAMAGE TO MY ATTIC /ROOF TO THE EXTENT THAT I NEED A NEW ROOF!! THE CELLULOSE INSULATION THAT THEY BLEW IN IS NOW GOING TO MAKE IT ALOT HARDER TO PUT IN THE SOFFIT VENTS AND BAFFLES THAT THEY NEVER INSTALLED. ALSO I WILL NEED TO REDO THE LOOSE BLOWN IN INSULATION THAT THEY DID. I PAID $3600. AND NOW IT WILL COST ME ALOT MORE FOR DAMAGES THEY CAUSED AND TO REDO EVERYTHING . MY SHINGLES ARE ONLY 5 YEARS OLD. ALSO THEY DIDN'T SEAL MY ATTIC HATCH AND THERE WAS NO INSULATION OVER IT. I CONTACTED THEM AND THEY GAVE ME A RUN AROUND AND WERE RUDE. EVEN THOUGH I STILL HAVE MY ORIGINAL CONTRACT AND ALL MY PAPERS THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF ME AND THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO ""RESEARCH IT"" BUT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE. THEY HAVE OFFERED ME 1 ""FREE"" GABLE VENT. ALSO THEY INSTALLED FIBERGLAS BATTS AND RIGID FOAM BOARD ON THE INTERIOR WALLS OF MY BASEMENT.AND LEFT MY EXTERIOR BASEMENT WALLS BARE. THIS WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY AND HAS DONE NO GOOD. I REMEMBER THAT I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR HELP BEGGING ME FOR FOOD AND OTHER ISSUES. Beware of this company...illegal and criminal practices - beware before you sign any ""quotes"" from them and the salesman and the owner are bullies. Cons: Fraud more

A few years ago my husband retired and we decided to have some work done on the house. I called HUGHESCO and hired them to replace all our downstairs windows, fill my walls with insulation, and put new siding on. My experience with Darren and his crew at that time was excellent. They arrived on time, worked in the rain, installed a new storm door for us, cleaned up after themselves, did not drink on the job, and smoked outside. We were so pleased with the crew at that time that we ordered a tankless hot water heater from them. I sincerely hope that Hughesco's standards have not fallen. Bravo! 1ST off I would never write a review about anything, but I felt I had to protect others from this horrible company Hughsco, they poorest quality services . They hire dishonest people who stole things from our home and drink on the job every time we came home our home would reek of beer and cigarettes they hire cheap labor with criminal history and DWIS the labor claimed that they were energy star certified the company is but the cheap labor they hired were not !!!!!!! They never finished any job completely made a mess of my furniture my carpets and never cleaned up after themselves this was a headache!!! They did a sloppy painting jobs soiled my rugs they installed air and heating and messed up our air exchange unit,They had gotten metal fragments from the air ducs fittings all over my house and kids were stepping in it very dangerous. They insulated our home so poorly they tech told us that they found ratts in the cellulose the insulation material they used and that they cant help it because it happens in the warehouse they explained that they just eat the stuff and die but what about the rottting carcass from the ratts that are left in your walls yuck!!!!! I am constantly cleaning the cellulose that comes out of our air ducts this has been a nightmere from hell !!!!They did not take responsibility of there mess took weeks beyond due date and they cut corners anywhere they could and the job quality was the poorest I wish we had gone with another company. we wanted our home to be energy star certified. WE HAD TO PAY ANOTHER COMPANY TO FIX THERE MESS THEY CREATED!!!!!. . My neighbor and I just spoke with said she used Hughesco as well and said she wished she would have warned me they are crooks. With all there advertising now that this company does I hope people do there home work and stay away from this company!!!! YOU cant say that I did not warn you :) Pros: none faud!!!!
