We recently moved across town using Hughes Relocation Service, and they were professional from beginning to end. I initially met with someone who gave me an estimate, and plenty of advice on how to pack and what to move ourselves. He gave me all the details about insurance, etc.
We were assigned a coordinator who dealt with all the details of the move. I dealt with her almost entirely by email and she was able to answer all my questions. I didn't even have to call to confirm in the days leading up to the move -- she called me.
We were assigned four movers for a two day move (one day moving out, one day moving in). They worked hard and were able to complete the move in a shorter time priod than estimated. (I should note that I also took the advice of the estimator and moved many boxes to the first floor to save them some time.)
Our move included a piano, which was well-taken care of by the movers. I was concerned about not using a specialized service, but it worked out just fine.
At this point, we have unpacked almost everything and so far, it appears that nothing was broken in the move. There was one bookshelf that broke before it got on the truck, but quite frankly, I expected that because the bookshelf was already falling apart and I don't think you could have moved it across the room without it breaking.
Overall, I would give this company five stars and I definitely recommend them for your move. This was probably the smoothest move we have had.
