I traveled from Toledo to buy a car in Columbus. On the way home the engine light came on. I took it home and diagnosed the problem (which turned out to be a bad catalyst) and while having the car on the diagnostics computer, I discovered the engine light had been reset just before I drove it. It takes a shop or someone with shop equipment to reset engine lights, and Hugh White Honda has an in house shop (I was told they are not affiliated with Hugh White, they just use Hugh Whites building) Called the dealer and spoke to a manager who assured me if I ever need anything else in the future to give him a call. They made no attempt to rectify the situation beyond a short apology that I was had a problem, and claimed to have no knowledge about the engine light being reset. Among the other information that was conveniently left out- and which I did not find out until I drove from Toledo to see the car: Rear door had some serious scratches in it, Heated seats did NOT work, it also had a MISMATCHED rim (which was conveniently obscured in the photograghs of the car- which were taken inside their shop). Aside from those issues, the rest of the transaction was nice. They picked me up from the bus station downtown, and filled the tank up in the car too- this is where they got their three stars from) If buying a used car, ask for an extended test drive and drive it for 1-2 hours or take it to a shop (hopefully not the one on Hugh White's car lot) and make sure the engine light has not been tampered with recently. It should probably go without saying- but be weary of car salesman... and Hugh White Honda in Columbus.
