I blew my lower back out two years ago. Went to several specialist including neurosurgeons, orthopedists and physical therapist. I tried exercise, lortabs and several epidural blocks and nothing seem to help my mid back pain. One doctor said I had a ruptured disc and need back surgery. One doc said I had arthritis and just needed to take lortabs for the rest of my life. My grand father begged me to go see a chiropractor and I had heard lots of good things about Dr. DeFranco from church members. Well, I gave his office a call and they set me up for an appoint the very same day. The one thing I like about him is that he didn't tell me I was fat, quit seeing my medical doctor or throw my medication away. He took the time to review my MRI's ( 2 of them), CT scans and EMG evaluations with me. He didn't make any promises, but said he would have to examine my spine and if he thought he could help me, he would do his best otherwise he would send me to a back surgeon. After he examined my low back problem he gave me a 50% chance of being able to help me and suggest I try two weeks of his care. He first started working on my lower back in addition to two other area's in the middle of my back. He used physical therapy modalities and some massage techniques along with a fancy table that moved my spine around. The treatments were never painful and after every visit I would feel less pain and improved mobility. Within two weeks my leg pain was gone, and my back pain was 75% better. He changed my work station at the office and taught me some exercises that along with his care got me finally 95% out of pain. I have not had a flair-up of my lower back and leg pain now for over four years. Let me tell you, the is outstanding and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to back and disc problems. I would highly recommend his care.
