The staff are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about color, styles and cuts along with products for your hair. Form the time you walk through the door, you feel at home knowing you will be taken care of by top notch professionals. Hudson Hair Studio is a great salon in the Empire State Plaza area. I've been going here for years, and never had a negative experience. Marcus is ready for me when I walk in the door. On the rare occasion I have to wait, I enjoy the comfortable couch and the friendly chat with staff. It is such a relaxed environment that I look forward to my appointments. more

This was one of the worst hair experiences I have ever had. The hours are terribly inconvenient and they do a poor job of answering the telephone. There are 3 hair dressers and only ONE dryer! I had to wait much, much longer for my color to set because another client was using the dryer! Not only that but the woman that cut my hair told me half way through that she was allergic to bleach and so she didn't use it on my hair. She was doing the roots of my highlights. The end result: Two-toned hair. AND! She left big sections out, so they weren't done at all. She did offer to fix it the next day so I sat through another 2.5 hour appointment and it didn't look any better. I really don't recommend going here. I have been going here since it has been open and I have never had one problem at all. I have had many different colors done, many many hair cuts, waxing and even ear peircing. This is the best hair salon in the city of Albany, high quality work with complete attention to detail, with a professional staff that listens to the what the customer wants. I have been getting my hair cut and highlights done there for the past 4 yrs, and never a bad experience. If your new to the area, I would say this is the place to go. Very comfortable atmosphere in the popular center square neighborhood. more
