Once again Houston misses the target on steak.. Nice atmosphere and great staff but the chef needs to find another job.\r \r I used to get a great steak here but the last 3 trips are embarassing. Topping the cake is the manager telling me show knows the steak "looks bad" but will taste good. What???\r \r I wouldn't even post but they charged me for the steak that I never ate and have the Amex receipt for $36 + tax less. At least the dispute will be valid. \r \r Many other GREAT steak houses in the Boca Raton area like Abe and Louies, Morton's, Ruths Chris. And for not much more money. more

I found the raw tuna salad to be absolutely delicious-however, for what they are charging for it...its the same price but less tuna. They think by giving more salad and bigger chunks it makes it look nice. I on the other hand find it quite skimpy. It used to be you got 6-7 pieces of tuna with a great salad. Everytime, I order it now-they cut down the pieces. Yesterday, I was down to four. I told the waitress if they cut it down again-there won't be any tuna left on the plate. Its a wonderful salad-but the skimpiness takes away from the plate. The waitress\r was very pleasant and did a great job serving. She was even nice when i told her about the tuna. She didn't give attitude when I gave my opinion. more

The food may be good but the greeters and the manager are all female with no people skills, very cocky, and very racist. They could care less if you eat there or not, or if they piss you off. Its so obvious in their fake smiles that they are going to treat you like crap and they are going to get away with it. We had reservations for 8:15 PM on Friday 5/11 to celebrate my niece graduation, from Lynn University, with a master in Education. Our party consisted of the graduate, my other niece who is attending FAU, my sister, their mom. who is a teacher at Forest Hill High School for the past 22 years, her husband and her 3 year old grandson and another educator from Forest Hill High School and I. All the white people that came to Houston, after us. where seated and they kept of telling us we will be next. At 9:05 PM, after they had sat three large parties that came after us we went to Macaroni Grill and had a great time. We were treated with dignity and respect due to all patrons. I would never patronize a bluntly racist establishment and I will tell everyone of our experience more

Why do people waste hard earned money? The resturant is poorly managed and the staff are ok. If everyone goes elswhere things will change or they will go out if business. more

The management at this Houston's is highly professional. The food is great top quality, as well as a supportive crew of waitors and waitresses. more

The food may be good, but the menu is very limited and it is very overpriced. What also keeps me away is the inability to make a reservation for lunch, or at dinner for parties more than 4. To make things worse, the won't seat you unless EVERYONE in your party is present. They'll blow by you as if you don't exist and seat the next party if for instance your wife went to the car to get a baby bottle when you are finally called; regardless if that adds 10 minutes to your 90 minute wait. The greeters are local female college students selected only by their looks, not their people skills; who are very cocky and inflexible. They could care less if you eat there or not, or if they piss you off. Its so obvious in the fake corporate smiles they wear. They also give you ridiculous wait times of 1 hour and a half at 2:30 in the afternoon and ask if you would like to put your name down, as if someone would wait till 4pm for chain food. There is absolutely no customer loyalty. You could eat there 50 times a year for 5 years and they'll treat you like any first timer. Other chain restaurants around the corner like JR Alexanders, PF Changs, Grand Lux Cafe, Rocco Tacos, and Brio go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to accommodate you. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND WAIT FOR A TABLE AT HOUSTON'S. The only positive points are the atmosphere and the servers, if you make it that far. more

Overall, my experience at Houston's was pleasurable. When we got to the restaurant, we were quoted a 30 minute wait time but in actuality it was about 45-50 minutes to get seated. The bathrooms were very clean as were the tables and dining room in general. Our server was extremely helpful with picking out an entree for me, a center cut filet that just melts in your mouth, but the price for everything with all the extras was a little more than I had expected to have to pay before I got there. more

HORRIFIC!!!!! My wife and I went here for the first time, expecting a mid-high range steakhouse/American Grill. We were quoted a 45 minute or less wait time for a table. We ended up waiting over an hour and ten minutes for one. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip ($12.00) and it came out with less than 20 chips in a small bowl. Hoping the entrees would be better we both ordered the center cut filet. We waited almost another hour before getting so disgusted we just asked for the check since we still hadn't gotten our steaks. Magically, once we finally said to just bring us our check, the food was FINALLY was ready. We told them to forget and to just bring us the check for our appetizer. This place was terrible...pathetic customer service, extremely overpriced (as far as we could tell, since we only got our appetizer in almost 2 hours), the food that we did get was nothing special. Please, I implore you to please save your money and go dine at a real steakhouse such as Abe & Louie's or Capital Grille in Boca. Both are tremendously better and put this crappy place to shame!!!! more

Never had a bad meal till last time. Pan fried fish was all breading. Baked potato was left over from lunch. Ceasar salad had little or no dressing. WILL NOT GO BACK? more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 6/16/2011

This place has their own brewery, very large portions on the food, and decent service. It's overall a good place, but not somewhere I desire or would recommend going to. The service is hit or miss, just depends on your waiter/waitress. The prices aren't horrible for the type of place you're going to. 6/10. more

Always you'll know the quality and service will be excellent, just be mindful of the queues on weekends and during snow birds season....\r Burgers, fish and meats all great and appetizers are simple but very well done. more

Dined at Houston's today for lunch with my wife. She had a large Garden Salad with Buttermilk Ranch. I had the Hawaiian Steak with loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. The entire meal was PERFECT. more

I love a dinner night here. They have great steaks. The prices are a little high but it reflects the meal you receive. I would come here more often if it weren't for that. more

The smoked salmon was scrumptious and definitely edible. The service was a little slow at times but Seasons 52 was slower. (90/100) more
