A few days ago I received a decent quote from a Houston based tree service. Then yesterday morning I get a couple phone calls from "another" tree service and get quoted an absurd figure, nearly double the first quote. I immediately get on my smart phone and look up another tree service company, "Houston Tree Team". I call around 8AM, yesterday, and leave a message. I get a call back within 10 minutes and give my info and address. Within the hour they have a quote that puts the 2 companies to shame. Plus I added an extra stump grind I left off the first 2 quotes. I was told they would be at my house around 10AM the next day! Wanting to see their work I show up around 10:30AM and they have already cut down all 4 of the trees..dang! I missed it. On another plus side they cleared some trees branches I cut down last weekend, just to be nice. Pros: Affordable, quick, nice, professional, everything! Cons: Little to no english. Which isn't a big deal. My problem. :( more

I didn't end up using the Tree Team, but they were recommended by a friend that LOVES their work. I called and setup a time to get a free quote. Denise was super friendly on the phone, and her husband George was super nice when he came out to give a quote. Houston Tree Team did an excellent job, had very quick response time to my initial call, and they cleaned everything up.\r \r I had two large trees removed and six additional trees trimmed. I called on a Saturday, and someone came out Sunday morning to survey the work, write a quote and provide me their liability insurance documentation. The quote was very fair. \r \r Monday morning, the crew arrived and performed the job. They did a great job, they didn't damage any fences, and they cleaned it all up very nicely. The Houston Tree Team cleaned up over 40 threes (toped, clearing 12 feet up and dead branches) . They Cut down two and ground five stumps. The Staff was overly friendly and efficient. (some swing like monkey's from tree to tree) When finished I spoted two branches I wished to have cut down. I have two large oak trees in my front yard that needed to be trimmed to allow more light to the yard. Ray came out quickly and provided a good quote for trimming not just the oaks but also all the trees that were overhanging into my yard. He seemed very knowledgeable and even offered suggestions to help with my grass issues.\r \r A few days later the crew showed up to do the trimming. They were professional, hard working and quickly had everything trimmed up. I couldn't believe how many limbs were brought down. They not only chipped and removed all the limbs but also the huge pile of trimmings my regular yard guys had left behind after redoing the landscaping.\r \r Very happy with the work and the cost, trees look great. more
