Three generations in my family have gone to Dr. Lanier, Dr. Lanier did my cataracts, my Mother's cataracts and my Grandmother's cataracts. On my last visit in April 2015, I was charged a ""new patient fee"" and an ""emergency fee"". I don't have insurance, the bill was outrageous, for less than 20 minutes. Today I received a bill for $1586.00 for services 5-27-15. On 5-27-15, I went to a new eye doctor for a second opinion for a micro-stromal puncture. The new doctor is in Spring, Texas, where I live. \r My husband and I have driven 40 miles each way to see Dr. Lanier or an associate, for 30 years....the billing department and office manager have turned a well respected eye clinic into a dysfunctional mess..not worth the trouble and very unprofessional, also the bill was originally addressed to my Mother who passed away 20 years ago. more

I went in for an appointment on Monday with Dr Urso by Thursday i had right eye scheduled for a cataract procedure. The wait was not bad, and the experience was great.\r I followed up with exam on Monday, then that next Thursday had my left eye taken care of. I can now see without glasses, and grateful for the care i got while there and afterwards follow up.\r I can directly compare it to a Hospital in Sugarland that was a night mare ish experience primarily due to lack of info , lack of directions lack of follow up care too many facilities in on small spot lack of parking etc.\r This facility and staff were amazing. I came a long way(7K miles)for the 2nd eye. It was rewarding experience considering the fact it was my 1st procedure. I have had great pleasure with the 1st eye's Restor lens (multi) and wanted the same for 2nd eye. Feel free using my name and image. Thanks a lot. more

Dr. Stewart took his time to explain all options in detail. I am an anesthesia provider (Nurse Anesthetist). I have seen many cataract operations and not all are done the same way. Dr. Stewart's dexterity and technique is exceptional. Had one eye operated and coming back very soon for the other eye. Excellent Experience. more

The doctor was wonderful. Hard to plan because I did not know what time I was going to be in. It was also frustrating to find out how much the cost was.(I mean contacting my insurance company)Oralia was very helful. Sherry was nice. Alicia was nice too. more

I've been seeing Dr. Gonzales since I was a baby. I have had a lazy eye my entire life and last year when I was 18, he gave me the okay to go ahead with corrective surgery if I wanted, which of course I did. I was very skeptical about how normal my eye would actually look after the procedure was done. The surgery lasted just about 1 hour and Dr. Gonzales did and amazing job. My eyes are completely straight and in sink with each other I could not be happier with my surgery. No longer am I afraid to take pictures! Dr. Gonzales was at all my check ups to make sure everything was okay and to make sure everything was normal. I will be his patient for as long as he is practicing! Thanks Dr. Gonzales! more

Dr. Garcia needs a new front office staff 5/30/2012

I have been to see Dr. Garcia twice and she has been great. Energetic, knowledgeable, doesn't keep me waiting, etc. Her office staff, on the other hand, is terrible. The first time I went to Dr. Garcia, her front desk staff overcharged my Flex spending card by $400 and they said they weren't able to refund the funds that day. I had to call back on a later day to get the card refunded which took way longer than it should have. Not to mention, it was paperwork nightmare with my Flex account and it took months to sort it out. The front office staff was also openly and audibly gossiping about other patients . I ordered contacts and told them to ship them to my work...well, they ended up shipping them to their office and I had to go pick them up. On my 2nd trip, a year later, I ordered more contacts to ship to my work and they told me they would arrive in 3 to 5 days. Over two weeks later I call to check the status. cataract treatment is a modern day miracle 3/1/2012

I had cataract treatment for both of my eyes. First my right eye was treated and the lens was replaced. The next day my distance vision was measured at 20/30. Four weeks later I had the same treatment on my left eye and the distance vision on this eye measured at 20/20 the next day. A few weeks later my regular optometrist measured the distance vision for both eyes at 20/20.\r \r I went from near blindness in one eye back to the 20/20 distance vision of my youth in one month. \r \r I think this is a modern day miracle and I can only feel sympathy for previous sufferers of cataracts that did not have the option for this treatment and suffered blindness.\r \r The care in the office and in the surgery was of very high quality and there was no pain associated with this surgery.\r \r I feel able to recommend Dr. Colby Stewart to everyone and I thank my optometrist for referring me to Dr. Colby Stewart.
