I stayed her for 1 night and was bit by Bedbugs, the manager there Erick was apathetic and did not believe, though i reported to the city health dept and they confirmed, Inspector called me to let me know they found bedbugs there.if you stay there your crazy, hope you dong get Cholera, nasty, dirty and Bedbug Infested! more

This review will be short and sweet. They have a full calendar of wonderful entertainers. I went last year to see Ashford & Simpson and was so in love with the spot and quality of the show I went a second night. Food and drink quality was good for SF. I must say the rooms here are overpriced - my friend and I paid over $250 a night for a room that faced a construction site and a parking lot. The room was not that big, and we both expected more to be included. Also, the hotel sometimes forgot to restock on our toiletries. The bathroom was very nice, but that didn't make up for the lack of value in the room itself. more

Nice location close to nearly everything... as long as you are in downtown SF you always CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. We upgraded to a high floor room with a view of the city it was a nice size room, nice size bath tub separate from (enclosed glass) Shower area. Booked room through priceline ""name your own price"" so my rate was no more than $90.00 per night but as I mentioned I paid extra at check in to be upgraded. We went this past Summer (July 17th weekend) Got a decent rate service was fine at the lobby lounge there was a lack of choices on the appetizer menu really blah. Didn't try the restaurant nor room service but valet was prompt and courteous. As was the Front Desk staff. Respectfully Reviewed more

This would be a lovely hotel, should you not mind awful customer service and the nightclub conveniently located next door that plays obnoxiously loud music until after 2am. I'm 23 years old and it even irritated me. More so, the hotel neglects to warn you about this.\r Upon check-in, my reservation was not coded correctly (as I was visiting on business and my company is covering room and tax). A $50 pending charge was to be placed on my credit card for incidentals, however the hotel charged my card $150 EACH night that I stayed for a total of over $800 during the week that I was there, overdrawing my account resulting in hefty penalties and hours of phone calls to the bank. The hotel's Front Desk and Management staff could not have cared any less to assist in speaking with the bank. One associate even went as far to tell me ""I'd take it up with your bank, it's not really our problem."" I requested on FOUR different occassions via e-mail and voicemail to speak with a manager, only to have my calls and requests ignored. \r The hotel later informed me that it ""was a computer glitch"" and expected that that was explanation enough. The overall lack of concern is beyond alarming. \r I didn't know of the nightclub next door until Friday night, and even with my I-pod in, the noise was unbearable and apparently no other guestrooms were available to move to. So unbearable in fact, that it is now 2:15am, I am still unable to sleep and have a plane to catch in five hours. \r While the hotel is centrally located, I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. I have been here for a week, dealt with every Front Desk associate on the staff, only to find they're all as appalling as the Manager, that still hasn't returned one phone call. There were a slew of other small incidents during the week that went unresolved as well, but I'm running out of characters here. Bottom line: spend your money on a hotel that is deserving of your money, and this, I can assure you, is not the place. Pros: Location Cons: Essentially every employee and service offered more

What a great spot. Cleand and comfortable, featuring Lavazza Coffee right there in your guest room, with its unique brew a cup coffee maker. Looks like they'll soon have a trendy new spot to dine in boasting ""meet"" ""greet"" and ""eat"" at the Donna Scala influenced Urban Tavern. Plus for those coffee fans, there's also a Starbucks right there in the Lobby. Great new meeting space on the Lobby as they transform themselves into a more modern, contemporary look and getting away from the ""old world"" style that they were able to hold onto for so long....still think they might want that ""globe"" - it's almost like that other hotel's clock. :-) Definitely worth the stay, relax, rejuvenate ..... more

We booked our rooms through priceline for a decent price. Location is perfect except just don't make a left coming out of the front of the hotel, the location is on the ""brink"" of the tenderloin (which is a questionable location at best). Lots of homeless people around the hotel but they seem to be ALL OVER San Francisco.\r \r Everytime I requested something of the front desk they would remind me that I had made my reservations through priceline. I would recommend that if you are a light sleeper request higher floors, we were on the seventh floor facing the street and also facing the garage which was lit ALL NIGHT the curtains are nearly transparent, not the standard thick curtains with liner that you should be used to in other hotels. When I called the front desk to see about getting another room that wasn't so noisy or wouldn't have the bright flourescent lights into the room their comment was ""Well I see you made your reservations through priceline we could upgrade you to a higher floor for $20.00 additional per night"". We had 2 queen beds the room was spacious but the double doors to the bathroom were akward.\r \r Housekeeping was inconsistent we had to requests glasses and bath rug (to step out of the shower) then another day the tub wasn't clean... however when I called housekeeping their response was immediate and courteous.\r \r Respectfully Reviewed more

Hotel Fusion is a rip off. They charged me over $300 in random charges during my stay. I was there on business and my stay was on the company, but they needed a deposit (sounds ok). At the end of my stay they had charged things that they couldn't explain. I've left several messages and have not heard a thing. Great pricing online, nice facilities, somewhat annoying charges for EVERYTHING -- roll-away bed, music on the TV, and any channel beyond basic cable. But other than that, if you don't plan to spend much time in the room, it was great. more

We stayed from a Saturday to Monday and they had our room ready for us. Staff was super nice and the hotel was very cute. The rooms were the same size as any other boutique hotel in the Union Sruare/Powell Street area - Unless you are used to staying at regular, cheesey hotels like the Hilton or Ramada. The room was clean and the showers worked just fine. We had three people in our room which was a Deluxe Double/Double and had hot water for all three showers and enough room for us to move around, including having our lugage out. It is on the VERY EDGE of the Tenderloin. but we never had any problems. On Saturday we took a walk around 2:30 am to get some pizza and we had no problems or were not scared to be out in the area. On Sunday we came home between 2-3 am and also did not run into any trouble. Our friends were staying at the Whitcomb(?) on Market and 8th, fancy hotel, about $300 a night and they said they would have rather stayed in our hotel. We will definitely be staying there again and I will be recommending this hotel to others. more

The rooms were not bad but not anything special. Front desk staff was very rude. In our one night stay the fire alarm went off two or three times and we were forced to evacuate. Our group was there for a bachelorette party so we were very unhappy to be woken up by the fire alarm early in the morning and forced to evacuate. I believe the problem was with the elevator which was out or service with no sign to prevent guests from trying to use it. The firefighters who arrived were less than happy with the staffs management of the situation. Our shower had very little water pressure and very little hot water. The area is very shady. We ate at Carl's Jr. around the corner and saw someone get mugged. The security there told us this is not uncommon in the area. I was followed out of Carl's Jr. by someone who was obviously strung out on something who was trying to give me something. When I ignored him he threw it (a penny) at me. I told the manager about our displeasure with the hotel and was told he could take a few dollars off our stay. I will NEVER stay here again. more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Nikko recently. I had researched hotels extensively and wanted to stay some place that got good reviews and was reasonably priced. I found that Hotel Nikko fit the bill.\r \r Hotel Nikko was a great price through Orbitz and we were so happy when we arrived because it was extremely nice, clean and funky (loved the decor). Plus you could not beat the location. We would walk outside, go down a block and a half, and hop right on the cable cars. We got on every time (no waiting in the long line!)\r \r The only minor complaint I had was the smell in the hallway (we were on the 7th floor) and the musty smell in the bathroom. I got used to it after awhile, but it wasn't the best smell.\r \r Overall I think it was a great hotel. We will definitely stay there again! I had a meeting in the city, and so I decided to stay at hotel Niko for the first time. I have to say that if your a techi then you will love this hotel. So many gadgets and entertainment in the rooms. But the rooms aren't that big, but its San Francisco so I didnt mind. The hotel have a friendly service, and everything went smoothly. more

A self-admitted boutique hotel junkie, I *had* to stay at the Metropolis. While I appreciated the creative theme of the hotel as well as the addition of the new restaurant, I think they could work on honing their guest service.\r \r The front desk staff was sufficiently friendly, but attentiveness seemed to vary from staffer to staffer.\r \r Upon check-in we were pleased to find ourselves in a small, top-floor, corner guest room with a beautiful view of the city and an unexpected private wraparound outdoor patio.\r \r Our room, while thoughtfully decorated, was plagued with shower and bathtub problems (loose showerhead that would only point at the wall; no drain stopper to allow the tub to hold water; thick, dirty residue that pumped out from the tub jets). While the staff made attempts to address these issues, some of these are obvious problems that should have been observed by the housekeeping staff and attended to prior to our visit.\r \r From the room maintenance issues to smaller touches like unclean patio furniture, it's clear that the Metropolis could further refine its attention to guest services. The addition of a basic room service menu from the in-house restaurant would also be a welcome addition.\r \r Still, for the money*, the Hotel Metropolis rates as a good deal for a San Francisco three-star boutique hotel. Flesh out the service issues and you'll enter 3.5 star territory to boot. While I'll try some other SF boutique hotels, I'm keeping the Metropolis on my short list.\r \r *The Metropolis offers some killer deals!
