Hot Wok

I had a ""Hot Wok"" flyer forcibly placed into my house. Yes, someone opened up my screen door and shoved it in the side of the door so it was in my house. I called hot wok to tell them that whoever they hired that is not cool to shove things into my house. I called up, and explained that I don't like people shoving things in my door. The nice man on the phone told me in broken english : ""F&*$ you"" and hung up. Wow. I would never dream of eating their food with that kind of mouth. I called back and asked to speak with the manager. Guess what? That was the manager. The manager tells people ""F&%^ you"" on the phone? I just wanted to make sure everyone knew what kind of people are. They don't respect even the most simple complaint. Tells you about how much they care about their food. more

I can't remember any other Chinese restaurant deserving a one-star rating. It was chilly and damp and egg drop soup seemed like a really good idea to take the chill off, so I decided to give this place a try on my way home from work. I ordered a large soup and Teriyaki Chicken to go. First, Chinese restaurants are noted for their ample portions, but this one is an exception. Their dinner serving (with no additions except white rice) is LESS than I'd expect from a discounted luncheon special that often includes egg roll and fried rice. Teriyaki chicken is supposed to be grilled and coated with a rich brown glaze. The Hot Wok version had a watered-down broth instead of a glaze, as if they were running low (at 5:00?) and were trying to extend it. And it had sliced white meat chicken sitting on top. I don't what what this was supposed to be, but it definitely was not Teriyaki Chicken. The LARGE soup was a decent-sized serving with a little left over. I'm used to getting at least 2 adult-sized servings out of a large, but not here. Additionally, these petite menu selections were, in my opinion, over priced.. Paid extra for a combo to get some fried rice on the side, etc. which turned out to be soy sauce on white rice- what a rip off. Had the dinner for an evening meal and everywhere else that is a larger portion but this looked like a lunch serving. Vegetables in the stir fry looked/tasted old. i use to eat here, but they kept raising the prices so much, it just was not worth it, i usually ordered delivery first it was two dollars then it when to three i decided to give them another try now it up to 4 dollars not at all worth this price, the food taste like its been around for a long time, it also looks old swimming in the sauces, really make its taste bad, if you order shrimp they give you about 3 of them, i get shrimp lo mien and if i wanted just lo mein noodles i would not have order it with shrimp, i do not call 3 small shrimp in a dinner, shrimp in it., lo mein is what i order in every restaurant i go to, and this is the first one i have ordered at that is so spicy, i can hardly eat it. so i am done with this place, good food in the area for chinese is hunan chef, china cafe, they are both really great, hunan chef does not charge for delivery, china cafe does but the food is worth the extra cost there. The food is good and the service is too.. Delivery NEVER takes longer than 30 minutes- the only thing I don't agree with is that there is a minimum purchase for delivery.. Pros: Fast service, friendly people Cons: Minimum order amount for delivery more

And that is saying something. When they get your order right, the food is mediocre at best. When they get your order wrong, don't expect them to fix the problem. Skip this one. Pros: poor customer service, mediocre food Cons: funny delivery guy more

ehh..its okay..when you are craving for some fast chinese. I spent the day being lazy inside my apt..and decided to order out..they have put thousands of adds all over my apt..so i gave it try..I ordered the Lo Mein..ehh it was okay..i got a decent serving but it wasn't that tasty. My cousin ordered the Hot and Sour soup..she said she has had better...for the price i guess i gave it 2 stars..the delivery was quick..and the staff seemed nice over the phone.
