Hospital Drive Sunoco

I was a return customer for 20 years. I started going their in the late 70's for my automotive needs because the service was outstanding and I liked the people who worked their. When I drove my car up to the front of the station a manager or mechanic came out to find out what I needed. If my car needed service or repair it would be ready the same day. Today its just the opposite. I left my vehicle their because it was running really bad. A so called mechanic drove and started to trouble shoot the vehicle and was unable to find the problem. The next day he spent a few hours trouble shooting my vehicle but still could not find problem. The third day the mechanic didn't show up for work. My vehicle sat for a whole week, nobody bothered to call me to let me know what the situation was with my vehicle. When I called to ask about my vehicle their was a communication breakdown . I could not understand their speech or nobody seem to know when the mechanic would return or if my vehicle was ready. I walked 3 miles from my house to Hospital Drive Sunoco to inquire in person about the status of the mechanic and my vehicle. At least I got exercise. My truck sat like this for one week. Then I gave up and got my truck to a dealer mechanic. Plus. One day I was walking by Hospital Drive Sunoco and I saw a banner that red CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY. I thought great they appreciate me as a customer. I'll get a fee coke , hotdog and a Sunoco tee shirt. When I went to the table in front of the station and Identified myself as a customer I was told it was a special promotion for new customers that signed up for a credit card. When I first started going to Hospital Drive Sunoco in the late 70's and all throght the 80's the service their was outstanding and their were plenty of cars on the lot to be serviced or repaired. I received a postcard coupon in the mail pre-printed with this Sunoco's address (Hospital Dr. Glen Burnie), touting ""$3.00 off a minimun gas purchase of $10 or more valid between 6/21 and 6/23/07"". Upon my attempt to redeem on the evening of 6/23, I noted computer printed signs on 8x10 paper placed at the pumps declaring: ""THIS STORE IS NOT SET UP FOR SUNOCO PROMOTION"". When I approached the less than friendly attendant, he told me that I needed to go to the Sunoco down the road on Crain Hwy. Well, the attendant at Crain Hwy stated that I was one of several customers who had shown up that night, and apologized to me stating that his particular Sunoco had a different promotion running and could not honor my coupon. When I returned to the Hospital Dr. station to get the owner's name in order to addresss the issue in writing, the attendant proceeded to call the police to have me removed from the premises, but not before calling me several names and telling me that ""my mother put the sign up (???)"". Needless to say, I'm in shock over this expererience and would like answers from Sunoco as to how they could go to the trouble and expense to send out mailers in my community and then renig on their promised promotion.
