Hopefully my experience was atypical… however, it was bad enough that I will _not_ be using them again. \r

My understanding was that the paperwork was ready by Wed afternoon, and that they were going to be calling me by COB Wed to schedule time to go in on Thursday and sign. I ended up shifting meetings from Thursday to Friday in order to make sure I was available whenever on Thursday. When I hadn’t heard from them by 10am Thursday, I called and was told the closer wasn’t in yet to schedule with me, but that she would call as soon as she got in. \r

When still hadn’t heard from them and called back at 1pm, I was then told she was “in signing papers with another customer, but should be done in 15-20 minutes and would call as soon as she got out.” It wasn’t until 3pm that I finally got a call back asking if I could make a 4pm signing. As I had to be back in Seattle by 5pm to pick up my daughter from School, I asked if we could meet any sooner. I was already sitting in a nearby bank parking lot waiting for them to give me the final #s in order to get the Cashier’s check. In theory, I could get the check and be at their office (less than a mile away) in 15 min. However, when I got to the address I had (the same “875 140th Ave NE Ste 101, Bellevue” listed above, and on search results for their website, and on the iPhone search for directions to “Horizon Escrow”), I discovered this is no longer their address. They are now at “400 112th Ave NE #140 Bellevue, WA 98004”. Right in the heart of downtown Bellevue… with all the traffic fun that comes with.\r

Once I finally got there, the service was OK. They got me through signing fine, although there were a couple 3-5 minute gaps where the “closer” stepped out for no apparent reason. Eventually we got everything signed and I was just waiting for copies. And waiting… and waiting. I know I’d expressed my desire to get out of there ASAP in order to get back across the bridge and pick up my daughter by 5, but it hadn’t seemed to translate into “please hurry up” as I would have expected. With all the delays, I ended up feeling like I’d wasted most of the day waiting for them and STILL ended up being 10 min late to pick up my daughter. \r
