Hopkins Automotive

I have had several bad experiences with this company. When attempting to purchase a vehicle from this company, I was simply told I could not get into the type of vehicle I wanted with my credit. I was continuously shown cars that had more mileage than my current car (in which I would be trading in, that I got approved for with no problem), and cars that where much older than my car. I was informed that I would be forced to put down 5,000 in order to get into many of the vehicles on the Hopkins lot. I left very deflated and feeling very defeated... But several months later, I ended up in an 05 Mazda Truck with only 1,000 down with no problem. Actually all in one night.... Since then, I have come across sever friends that have purchased cars from this new Salisbury location, that have been sold lemons. One of which has returned her care over 4 times, with issues since she purchased it. The other I was actually in the car with him when his, engine blow up on the Bypass. All we heard were several loud sounds coming from under the hood, and we then costed for sever feet. This vehicle was just purchased just a little over a week ago, and returned to the Service Center because of problems with the engine. He was informed that the engine was replace, however...... Well this week end like I said the engine simply stopped on the Bypass. The bottom line is.... This company is obviously a shame....... Don't do business with them!!!!! more

I bought a Chrysler 300 at Hopkins Auto Sales last year and recently scheduled routine service work. I dreaded not having my car for a day, but Hopkins made it easy. When I called to schedule the work, the service manager told me about the Hopkins customer shuttle. She said it would be no problem to take me to work and pick me up in the afternoon. The shuttle worked like a charm. more

A friend told me about the Hopkins’ tax deferred program and it seemed too good to be true, but it wasn’t. I went to the dealership on Saturday morning and that afternoon I drove off in my new SUV. Thank you Tommy and team! more

I was referred to Hopkins Automotive after one of my friends bought a Lincoln LS from them. She said that they had guaranteed financing and could definitely get me in a car. I was skeptical considering my credit history, but was desperately in need of reliable transportation so I went. I was greeted immediately by a salesman who patiently took my information and didn’t make me feel bad about my credit. After giving him all my information, he came to me with my options for vehicles and boy was I impressed! I was expecting him to show me a “clunker”, but he didn’t! I was given great options and after reviewing them all, was able to choose the right vehicle at the right price for me! I couldn’t have been more pleased! I’ve had my car for 2 months now and am still tickled with it! Don’t hesitate to go to Hopkins Automotive, they are truly great! more

I purchased a vehicle from Hopkins Automotive recently and I was blown away by the extent they went to to cater to me and my family. Their sales staff was beyond professional and their service department fixed stuff no one else would have dreamed of! Kudos to a wonderful company that truly appreciates their customers! I BOUGHT A CAR THERE & ITS A LEMON IT'S NEVER WORKED I HAVE TAKEN AT LEAST ONE A MONTH THE CHECK ENGINE & OTHER LIGHTS ARE ALWAYS ON & THEY GIVE ME THE SAME STORY IT'S FINE OR MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. DELAWARE DOESNT HAVE A LEMON LAW BUT THEY HAVE AN BINDING WARRANTY THAT THEY DO NOT UPHOLD. I AM GOING TO POST ON AS MANY SITES AS I CAN & START STANDING ON RT. 13 WITH A SIGN FOR EVERYONE TO SEE UNTIL THEY FIX MY PEICE OF JUNK.
