I have been seeing Dr Collier for over 8 yrs now.All these bad comments about her,and Hope Family Medicine are unfounded.Yes sometimes the wait can be awhile like today I was seen hr after my app time,but Id rather wait,and get treated like a person by a Doctor who cares.Ive had doctors where you were right on time in getting in,but they treated you like a number not a human being.The nurses calling you back I do agree with cause most times I dont get called back,but I just make an app,and go in for results.If something had be wrong I know Doctor Collier would have called me.You want a good Doctor who cares go see Dr Collier.If you dont then dont go its that simple more

I am personally being attacked by boy's mother since I will not bail him out and help with lawyers for the ex-boyfriend of my niece who was temporarily working at my clinic. She has tried blackmail and extortion and now resulting in making up lies. I will not reveal sensitive medical information - but the things he was arressted for are medications that I cannot write per Federal Law and he has already been arrested 17 times at age of 22. Sorry - can't fix this. And if you think about getting controlled substances, please note we have dismissed 5 patients alone - this week for failed drug screens and I prosecuted one for altering my script.....so not that easy - we follow the law. more

If you want to go to a drug dealers' clinic, you should check this one out. Emily and her niece have cornered the market. They write the script, and it might not be in your name. Seriously folks, if need drugs, this is the place! more

very nice people, they treated us VERY VERY kindly & they did listen to all my problems i have been having health wise. my biggest complaint is they never & i mean NEVER follow up with results on anything.\r \r ive had blood work done, exams done, x'rays & more and i have to call & call & call & i still today have NO answers on anything ive had done... my next attempt which is very sorry & pathetically sad is im gunna make a dr's appointment just to get my results so i can have them forward to a new dr.\r \r yet again YES they are VERY nice people, but as a patient whos having health problems & cant get an answer from them & is only getting sicker.... its very frustrating. i didnt go to them for friendship im going to them for help & im not getting it. more

April Collier NP at Hope Family Medicine was recommended to me 3yrs ago. I was skeptical at first to even go see April due to no one was helpful when I was younger or even listened to me in regards to what was going on. Since my first visit, I have had WONDERFUL care. April was in the room with me for over an hour. I had so much to discuss and she really listened and sympathized with what I was going through. She immediately wanted to get me going and on a better track ASAP. Her vast knowledge of different medications amazed me. We discussed different options and SHE REALLY LISTENED to my concerns. Everyone is so nice there. Heidi is VERY WONDERFUL and has been since day ONE when I made my first appt. Channing is a doll too-so sweet and funny. I drive from Franklin to Stewarts Ferry to go there. What people don't understand in regards to waiting a bit for their appointment is sometimes there is more urgent patients back there at the time that need to be seen right away. My appointment can wait a bit and I am not going to be rude and get snobby. People need to have more compassionate. This is a wonderful place, I will not be going anywhere else. People always think also that ""Oh, only the best DR/NP can see me."" The best in the state are not always the best and move you along like cattle. The more patients that come through ""THEIR"" doors looks good yes, but in the end I want someone that is going to have the knowledge, be able to listen and be compassionate, and be down to earth. Just because you are in this profession does not mean you have to have a stick up your a**. I have seen and worked with many doctors that are like that. It is sad. I recommend this office to anyone who wants wonderful care as well as a wonderful staff. more

I can remember when April Collier working for another Phycians office. I needed a doctor to believe in me! My leg was paralize. And no one could find out what happen to me. She done everything she could to help me. I had a stroke. She did not give up on me. I had a light heart attacked. Again she got me threw that. I had the second stroke on the other leg. She got me through that also. I was diagnoise with connective tissue disease,and a empty sella. Now diagnose with MS. And I know she is not a DOCTOR ( sorry I call her my doctor, she deserves that title to me ). She'll do her best to help anyone. I trust her on my life. I've followed her for close to 15 years. I can't replace her. I now live in ky. I drive around 175 miles to go to her. SHE IS THE BEST. If I was in her waiting room for a long time, I would not feel bad. Because I know she is helping someone else like she has me. more

I have seen some of the other reviews and what is funny is that no one talks about if they got better? So is taking care of your health suppose to be like a trip to McDonald's? ""Let's make it quick, and do not bother me with any questions ---------- or medical protocols or procedures."" The staff is efficient and knows my name. They care about me even though I am probably the 50th person they have dealt with by the time they have answered all the phone calls and dealt with all of the patients. All of the medical providers spend time with me and truly seem to want to help me with my chronic health issues - instead of a quick fix that lasts about as long as my waiting room visit. No, not every visit is done in under 30 minutes - but do I really want that? NO!!!! I want a medical provider (whether it is a doctor or nurse practitioner) to listen to me and provide great medical care that will help me live my life to the fullest - that is what I get at Hope Family Medicine. They give me ""hope"" that I will feel better and have someone to turn to that will listen if I have a problem. Pros: Listens and worth the wait more

Wellllll, I have been trying to reach a nurse via voice mail for two weeks, and all I get in return is silence. Let me tell you, virtual nursing bites the big one and so does the elevator music your force fed while yer on hold. I can't get a nurse on the phone, or to call me back. And as far as the receptionist goes, hmmmmm, I think I saw her for a second when she took my cash...(I had to find an ATM because they won't take a check) Then, suddenly, the wicked witch of the plaza disappeared, and presto chango, the receptionist turned into a sqaulling 3 year old, with a small diaper dilemma. who had somehow managed to get into the unoccupied cubical...yee haw, I think she had better customer service skills than her predecessor. Anyhow, I bailed after a thirty minute wait, because my teeth were floating and there bathroom was out of order. Eventually, I found my way to a physicaian in Berlin, and the may I say that the wait on the flight was a lot shorter than the wait for the returned call. RETRACTING MY PREVIOUS STATEMENT Ms Collier misdiagnosed me with Lupus with a 0 ANA count from the start on 07 Treated me in HER office herself with Methrotrexate3 3yrs I was on it came off 1.5yr later my hair changed a complete different color & 2yrs my teeth withered away to nothing I had to have oral surgery to remove them. You could NEVER get a nurse to call you back and April blamed it on her BAD NURSING staff, Im sure they didn't know that. I can't sue for damages limitation is up April started out with good intentions she had to many problems going on in her life, she is too busy going to The Master's Golf Tournament with her ""Daddie"" in her Green convertible corvette. I think Hope family Medicine is a great place with one drawback, the receptionist, Heidi. One day I tried and tried to call but didn't get an answer, finally I went to the office, after getting there I knew why no one answered the phone, the receptionist was on her cell phone arguing with someone about her husbands ex wife. I'm sorry but you don't need to sit in a place of business and discuss your husbands ex wife where Go and everybody can hear you. Heidi is very unprofessional and rude, after Heidi being so rude I almost walked out but i have to admit I'm glad i didn't. Once I was called back the nurse Jamie was very nice and acted like she cared about me and why I was there, then I saw a young lady by the name of Lauren and she to was great after seeing Lauren I had to get labs drawn and she(Felicia) was just as awesome. So I would with out a doubt recommend Hope family Medicine. Its a great place once you get past the receptionist. They are not all b*****s like she is. Pros: Smart People Cons: Receptionist more

So much for ""hope"" and ""family."" Two things that you will not experience when coming to this office. There are many reasons I will not go back to this office. 1. Customer Service: The receptionist is disrespectful and makes patients feel uncomfortable because of her lack of sensitivity and care on the phone and in person. 2. Every day the whole office breaks for lunch from 12-1pm. I was at doors at 1pm and waited until 1:30pm before someone came and unlocked the door. No apology, no sorry to keep you waiting. Though the doctor is credible and easy to talk with, her staff leaves patients feeling frustrated and upset. I will never go back to this office. more
