Hooze 4X4 has serviced my F350 diesel for more than 10 years. They are always fair in their rates & provide solid recommendations when necessary. They let me decide if I want to do them. They also will dissuade me from one of my hair-brained ideas if it would not be wise.\r \r Recently, I added a Jeep to my stable. Naturally, I wanted accessories that Jeep did not offer. Once I told Dan my intentions, he helped research products (wheels, tires, suspension, under body protection, lights) for me to select the final work list. The choices & Hooze 4X4 prices were very reasonable. The work was done on schedule & budget.\r \r Whenever someone is looking for a ""service shop to trust,"" I recommend Hooze 4X4.\r \r There may be instances in any business where an account or a service call did not go well. I can only tell you what my experiences have been since 2001 with regular preventative maintenance & the times when I needed some corrective work.\r \r So to counter the earlier review, GO THERE! more

Terrible mistakes & incompetence or possible fraud 1/30/2014

Took 4X4 truck there for service. Was shown a small front axle seal leak. They repaired the seals and replaced the axles of BOTH sides saying that the same leak will PROBABLY happen on the other side... The replacement axle for the side that did NOT leak happened to be 3"" too short and did not engage center differential. 4-wheel drive did not work at all.\r \r Took truck back after a tow and being stuck in 3"" of mud. They convinced me that my Automatic locking hubs were the problem even though they worked fine before by showing me that they ""Spun freely in their hands"" and ""Did not centrifugally engage"". Unfortunately, in hind sight and some research - this was an act to convince me to buy the manual hubs - the automatic hubs do not work in the way that they led me to believe. The MANUAL hubs for $250 were put in and still no 4-wheel drive.\r \r Finally, they figured out that the axle was too short, even though the hub on that side had been COVERED IN THE GEAR LUBE that had leaked out of the seal which should have tipped them off at the bad axle from the start.\r \r NOW, truck has the right axle 4-wheel drive works but I have to MANUALLY lock it in at the tires when before I just had to pull the 4-wheel drive lever from inside.\r \r Bottom line, Lots of expensive parts I didn't need and even parts I never wanted and still do not want. DO NOT GO THERE! Cons: Either Incompetent or intentionally misleading customers more

Great place 4 4x4 repair 5/1/2010

Took my Dodge truck in for front axle seals and Hooze was able to replace them without having to replace the axles even though the axles had groves in them. I am taking my truck back for new ball joints and tires. Pros: good price and good work more

Great place for auto repair 1/21/2010

I really enjoyed my experiance at Hooze 4x4. The people there were very friendly and help-ful. I brought them my 2001 honda accord for a check engine light, and they were able to diagnose and fix problem. My car runs great and I am getting even better gas mileage. They even gave me a ride home! I will continue to bring my families vehicles into Hooze, and I highly recommend them to anyone with or with a 4x4 :) Pros: friendly people, great customer service!! more
