I never knew Chiropractors could help with headaches!!!! One of my friends was treating with Dr. Cuttler and insisted I try Chiropractic for my dibilitating headaches. I have tried prescriptive drugs, physical therapy and saw several drs for my condition. When I would get a nasty one, I would be down for the count for days. I am happy to report that I have been headache free for over 1 year now!!!! more

Be careful what you read, sign & what they tell you about payment. Although, I am sure they collect from your insurance company, they will also make certain to collect directly from you. In other words, be prepared to pay. Their policy about payment is left unclear for a reason. Make sure you gain a clear answer from them regarding what the payment policy is before you start treatment. They do NOT wait to see what they collect from your insurance company, they hold YOU responsible and firmly request you pay up front (regardless of what they might collect from your insurance). The office manager's style also leaves alot to be desired. She lacks tact, to be kind. Sadly, I would not recommend this chiropractic office. more

Dr. Cuttler was my first experience with a chiropractor, and his practice is tremendously effective. Here's my story: I had been ignoring my intermittent back pain, sore neck/shoulders, and headaches for over a year. While I knew my symptoms were getting worse, my primary care physician (PCP) said there wasn't anything that could be done except to take more painkillers, which - given that I'm in my 20s - didn't seem like something I should be taking on a daily basis. I was working on an advanced degree, and I just wanted to get through it, but the symptoms were becoming more and more of a distraction every week. One day, I woke up and discovered I could not turn my neck - it hurt very badly and was stiff. That was the day I knew something else had to be done. I had heard good things about Hoosick Family Chiropractic (HFC) through the grapevine, so I asked my PCP for a referral. Dr. Cuttler performed the treatment - small adjustments spread out over many short sessions. The popping startled me at first (like I said, my first chiropractic experience), but not nearly as much as had the morning I couldn't move my head. Dr. Cuttler himself was terrific - always very professional and very patient. He answered all of my questions, and his staff put up with me (also patiently and professionally) when last-minute conflicts at work meant I had to change my appointments at the last minute. In time, I came to feel much better than I have for a long time. With the pain and headaches gone, I could better focus on my studies so I could complete my degree, which had been much more of a struggle before. With my health finally improving, I was able to complete my degree :-) When my boyfriend starting having issues of his own, I suggested he try HFC. He, too, was skeptical at first, but after a few treatments, he, too, started feeling much better. He's a long-time athlete, and after a couple months of treatment, he found that he had greater range and flexibility in his neck and shoulders than he's had in many years. I have had experience with many chiropractors in the different towns I've lived in, and although I have tried to keep an open mind about Dr, Cuttler my overwhelming impression of him after many visits is that he has a strict view that if you cannot comply with his proscribed treatment, usually 3 visits a week for 4 weeks to start with, he can do basically nothing for you and the treatment you receive will be half-hearted and minimal. While I know that frequent and successive visits are required for optimal treatment and recovery it has been my experience that even occasional chiro treatment can be beneficial, but that has not been the case with Dr. Cuttler even when I have tried going once a week. Although he will make a few small adjustments and give you a few minutes hooked up to an electrode massage device he comes across as dismissive and almost scornful if you cannot afford to pay for unlimited treatments. Although he is competent and I believe sincere in his belief that multiple weekly sessions is the only way he can help you, his inflexibility regarding any other options is unfortunate. Essentially, if you can afford multiple weekly sessions he exerts himself and does a good job, but if not do not bother seeking treatment. more
