Not worth time or money 9/15/2010

Sushi was good. Sea bass was good, nothing special though. The crab cake entree was a joke! It looked like a small appetizer...hardly worth $25! Seriously, one small crab cake that wasn't even anything special and a few asparagus spears. Will not be going back. more

Good food, terrible service 7/24/2010

We went for Brunch today and I've rarely had such terrible service. We had to wait to be seated even though there were maybe 6 tables full in the entire restaurant AND I had reservations. We had the half-dozen oysters appetizer and it was fantastic once it came (and we ordered 6 more) -- it just took about 20 minutes to arrive. How long does it take to shuck 6 oysters? The main course, even though ordered at the same time as the appetizer, arrived about 15 mins after we finished the oysters. The worst thing you could say about our entrees, once they arrived, was that my lump crab benedict eggs were overcooked and it was a tad unimaginative -- but good. It took us 2 hours to get out of there. more

Awful & Expensive Seafood 4/9/2010

We went there to checkout this new hip Seafood restaurant in Sterling. Here is what we Ordered: 1. Lobster Bisque Soup: Was tasteles, salty and awful to have. Expensive as hell $8 for awful tasteless soup. Sweet Water's Bisque soup is far superior in taste and price is reasonable. 2. Miso Soup: Was okay.. 3. Crab Cakes: It did'nt taste fresh at all. We paid $23 buck for a mere one single lump of crab cake. Was burnt on one side and tasted like as if it was there outside for a while. Sweet Water gives you two crab cakes and it taste fresh and tasty. 4. Main Lobster: $$ Expensive, it was'nt fresh at all and was very chewy. No side order. All in all it was terrible and $$$ experience. I will never reccomend anyone to go there. more

Group Lunch- great change! 1/30/2010

Surprised at the previous review as a group of 10 from our office spontaneously walked into Hooked last Friday. We didn't have a reservation and the place was pretty crowded, but the management bent over backwards to quickly accommodate us. Great start. The group ordered individually and the general consensus is that 9/10 of us were thrilled the the food, and we're pleased to have another option in Sterling beside Sweetwater! Pricing was fair, and the service was efficient and friendly. By the way, we didn't have any hair in our crabcakes, and they were so big it was difficult to finish! (maybe they changed the recipe???) more
